Developers couldn't even be bothered to give us an actual fleshed out custom battle system. What laziness and wasted potential. Lets run the numbers shall we?

Only 3 Naval "scenarios" to choose from, 2 are just line battles in opposite directions, and the 3rd is basically a scripted event that turns into a mosh pit.

No dynamic slider for the amount of resources, they give you 3 different options between like 120000 and 300000. You cant actually set the max or min cost, so you cant scale the games size or difficulty. This means there is no incentive to build proper fleets or balanced fleets using the available points.

No way to change the Nation, names, load out or skill of the opposing fleet. Not very custom now is that? Also a lot of the smaller ships such as frigates and 4th rates have repeating names for the AI, so you get 3 different "Santa Anna's" in one battle.

You also CANT see the total cost for the enemy fleet, so good luck if you want to fight a balanced opponent, or practice or really do anything besides watch boats shoot at each other for 40 minutes or so.

The AI is absolutely garbage and will do 1 of 3 things:
A, sail their fleet in circles around you completely disregarding any tactics or formation.
B, constantly sail their ships into the wind or off the map.
C, Just run away for you completely and make no effort to even engage.

Also the wind just stops changing after about 12 in-game hours or so, eventually all the ships will get blown off the map and retreat. You cant fight this since tacking and hauling mechanics don't exist.

Good job developers, you managed to screw up a basic staple of every RTS for the last 2 decades.

Your reviews of games talk volumes, any idea why you are ignored? apart from me hahahaha.
A little hard but I do wish they could flesh out making your own scenarios etc.
