Development and updates have been halted, if not entirely!?
So I am not going to be political here, but in today's announcement I dont like how they say the war has affected this is my land and development can not continue for it, but at the same time say you are now working on an entirely new game.

That comment seems a little backwards and I am skeptical of the whole situation now. If the war is affecting this is my land. How can work be started on entirely new game? How can the studio expect things to be different with a new game? When they say so much has affected this one.

Game labs say they need the new game in order to survive but the way this game has been handled and now that today's announcement says development/updates have stopped. It is highly unlikely this is my land players will even buy future games from them. Making the situation a whole lot worse.

This comment is not meant to be negative in any way to the devs. I know they going thru a huge ordeal but they are not the only studio facing similar issues. Who are handling things way better with their games. I am just voicing my opinion and concerns.

Im not looking forward to their next game due to the current situation and how the development has been handled on this one. Being that the game still feels very unfinished and now probably abandoned all together.

I am obviously just voicing my opinion on the matter, but I do not see how this change will be good for the studio or fans.

What I understood from the news is that they were already working on different projects simultaneously, but that the war impacted their work (for obvious reasons).

This would mean that they had to shift priorities on their projects, which is now slowing work on this game to favor a new game that would mean new revenus for the studio.

However, the pressing concern lies in the war's disruption of progress on "This Land Is My Land," surpassing its completion deadline. Simultaneously, we have ongoing projects critical for our survival, employee wages, and support for the Ukrainian Army. Our objective remains to expel the Russian onslaught from our land.

Work on this project is done; no mater what is said.

I understand they need to make money - but no company I have ever seen say they have switched to another game to make money and will be back to "this one" ever comes back.

This company has many active and complicated projects. Ultimate General series, Ultimate Admiral series, Naval Action MMO, Sea Legends (Age of Sail sailing simulator or something like that) and This Land is My land - a few that I am aware. They have really a lot of work on their hands and mostly they deliver really, high quality content.

I could have swore that this game had already had a full release and assumed anything else we got would be labled under the "lucky_we_got_them_last_minute_game_fixes" directory. ♥♥♥♥, back in my day, not only did we walk uphill in the snow, without pants and barefooted just to get to school, games stopped getting worked on, and devs moved on to others! Hmm, yes, I know...such dark, medieval times...go figure.

What you need to consider is that work on This Land is My Land requires a stable platform for development; computers, power, internet, communications. Starting a new game doesn't mean jumping immediately in to coding but doing a lot of work on specifications, story, etc.. That requires a lot less of stable platforms, they can go off on their own and do a lot of that work.

You can voice your opinion all you want but the bottom line is your opinion, and mine, are not supported by enough facts to have any real value.

It's understandable when a games popularity goes down and more content is hard to come up with to move on with a different project, just don't leave it as early access and have a solid release. This game shows as a solid release to me.

The game had full release in 2021, I don't know what you are complaining about

The game has been finished a while ago, its not in early access anymore

Tell/show me where I said ANYTHING about early access. I SAID: "Work on this project is done; no mater what is said." Because, every company I have ever seen that said they were switching to another game to [basically make money] but will be back to the other game, never has.

But, please, keep saying things people didn't say. lol ><

Why should we buy This Land Is My Land Founders Edition DLC now that you will be suspending game updates? Anyway, after a while, it will be an abandoned game that is out of date and cannot be modded.

why would anyone buy their new games if they dont finish the games they already made and sold.

Well, as an example I have about 1000 hours in this game, about 2000 hours in another they did, and spent half my weekend playing a third one. I've enjoyed this game for 5+ years. While their management decisions might be odd at times, and they don't focus enough on squashing bugs, there's no doubting the entertainment value the games provide.

Bug fixing dont earn money...thats hard reality. So even big developer don´t fix there game as they should.

They abandone this game and work on new one :(

Me personally arer also waiting for Ultimate General: American Revolution so if thats the game they are working on i say go for it its gonna be awesome :)

They have lost their credibility. I don't believe that they won't abandon the other game like they abandoned TLIML, so I won't buy any of their games.
