My game doesn't work

Hi.
I instal the game today but it doesn't launch. It open a window when I can select "Play the game", "Play it with Direct X 11" and "Play it with Direct X 9". Try those 3, close the window and nothing append. Try to modify things like compatibility, doesn't work. Try to reinstal Direct X, doesn't work. Restart the conputer, nothing. What should I do ?
I'm on Windows 10. I have a Nvidia GTX 1080. My drivers are updated.

Some questions:
Did you got microsoft visual C++ things? if not, get them all. (BUT STEAM ACTUALY DOWNLOADS THEM FOR YOU... already)

update windows maybe.
Did you used any debloater?
Try executing the CMD as admin and copy paste this comand: sfc /scannow (it will fix windows System corruptions)

Outside of these problem i have no idea what to do bro.

Last possible fix is reinstalling windows drivers.

delete config in: %LOCALAPPDATA%\AliensVsPredator and start the game again

The AliensVsPredator folder doesn't exist on my localappdata

I found the solution. I just needed to execute Steam as an admin

Try search "DirectX End-User Runtime" and install it , works for me.

It's allready working, just needed to use Steam as an admin. That's all I needed in the end.

Did you by any chance close the notepad that opens when you first start the game. My game wouldn't start because of that. Try relaunching the game and just close down the notepad that pops up with the game, after closing it the game should work if that is the problem. Hope it helps.

Hi, i had the same issue. The only thing that helped me is rebooting my PC. I don't know how but it worked for me. Old game problems as always

Wow. This game idiot proofed me for a few minutes first time launching and a simple search for notepad brought me here.

All you needed to do in the first place was verify the files in your library right click on the game in your library then properties then installed files then verify files.

Man, i found one but its not cool. Install the cracked version executable (prophet version), open the game and close it. Now open steam and run the game. Steam now can update files and then run the game

Adding to this: it doesn't work on desktop or the Steam Deck for me. so that's two devices with the same issue.
