change console key? or disable console

I play games using a VoIP program so i can chat to friends while playing, but i use the "~" key as my push to talk, normally this is not an issue as i can change the key to something else in game if its assigned to anything.

BUT

Because AvP is a console port it has limited options, and i cannot seem to find a way to change it. i was hoping there was a .ini file i can edit to change this however i have not found one.

if anyone else has a way i can do this please tell me.

I am NOT asking for a way to use the key for in game chat , i use mumble to chat to friends outside the game, i use the ingame key for in game, i use the tilder key for mumble.

I need a way to modify the keybindings outside the game like a .ini file or something.
or a launch command to disable the console all together.

iirc the voice settings are tied into the steam voice settings. Adjust your steam client's voice settings and that should work for avp

i know there is an in game voip option, but the friends i chat with are not in game, its just genreal chatting amongst friends, sometimes we play the same game together sometimes we dont.

so i would need the keys separate anyway.

if you are wanting to chat with any friend inside or outside the game privately open a chat window with them and enable voice chat. i believe you can invite additional people to the chat too

thats not what i am after.
i use mumble to chat to friends.
I dont need a new way to chat to them, i need a way to change the bindings of the "~" key in the game so its not opening and closing the console window.
