(1) If the player is firing the plasma cannon rapidly the cannon probably does not have a guaranteed lock on your position. Jumping as soon as the flash appears from the cannon can make it miss entirely or deal minimal damage.
(2) I recommend avoiding the rooms that spawn the plasma cannon and have a lot of combat space. Line of sighting the predator and forcing them to get close can ruin their comfortable strategy. Stick to doorways and wall edges to block plasma cannon shots. Shotgun, grenade, xeno tail spam, xeno focused (lunge) attack can easily destroy a predator's kill streak. If they are cheesing you, cheese back.
P.S. Your English is great; there are no serious grammar issues. My only gripe is the word <lifetime> should have been <life> because life"time" depicts the history whereas life as a single word is the object. (Jumping out of the airplane without a parachute cost him his life). (The love they share will last a lifetime).
Makes you sick reading people moaning about plasma when cheating and hacking is by far a problem and a worse game mp killer than anything a player will throw at you legal and put into the game in the first place,,your english is fine dude :)
But i will say this if a battle is overbalanced ((far too many preds )) and almost all the blood are using it constant them yep i agree but in a large battle with good players and team the canon is crap a sure death for the caster whilst using it
To do so in pred skin is shameful as the blood is already over powered i am the biggest noob when it comes to plasma maybe i aint got used to yet its lame as a main weapon the few times ive used it in a big battle its never locked on to target for as long as i have used it ages ago
i always kill myself too at close up blasting it lagged and i got killed every time i used it to revenge that noob yellow skull dancing around the map only
Its okay for new players now and then,,,and for splitting up camping species
I even completed predator sp on nightmare without using it ,,,i had to i was crap at it ,,,the best i could do was in training first level in pred skin about a thousand years ago lol
If the plasma had been and still is gltched hacked or spammed as bad as you have mentioned then that means that the predators have won every battle since day one of this games launch and thats not true is it ??? ive been in battle as a predator with only 3 other pred team members and lost to 4 marines and 1 alien ,,,lol the alien the winner with only 22 hours of play total and none of the preds could plasma him at all
Work that one out dude ???????
As for the knee down and recharging i have been killed a thousand times over this way and proud of it but felt the shame for the one who fired the coward shot ,,i would rate it worse than an e grab from behind
You should read confuted first few lines of advice thats real playing 4 posts up from yours
To be honest, I've to agree with Hoplite in that point:
There are many people who share your opinion but it is still a normal game mechanic.
Literally, if people only play ONE race then I have some reason to complain about.
This game has 3 species and so should it be played. I am not mad about the gear of some races. I just think there are some players which really are only into one playstyle: The UEBER-pred.
Which means playing only pred since that game did come out.
For myself, I take
http://store.steampowered.com/app/274940/
as example.
There you can play as diver or as shark. I've played as much diver games as shark games, because that's what the game is about.
Even if I am a much better shark player than diver, I still give every side a fair chance.
Same here in AvP.
If people prefer to play ONLY ONE race, the game get's unbalanced.
I don't mind if preds are using plasma, but I do mind if there are 10 preds against 5 marines and 3 aliens...
For myself, I think it aren't the weapons which makes the game unbalanced. It's the way many people prefer only one race.

RATE UP :) Think the alien would explode if you did that dude pebble dashing your face with melting acid ,,lol nice thought though lol,,,,lol i like ...:)
There are people who like to stick to only one race in every single asymmetrical shooter out there. Nothing wrong with that.
Problem is this game is so unbalanced there really is no incentive to specialize in anything but the pred so for every player who stick to only alien or marine you get 10 pred-only players. That's how you get 10 preds fighting 5 marines and 3 aliens - pred is the strongest and most accessible species in the game.
@OP: You'll never get rid of plasma noobs in this game because you have no way of disabling weapons, and every new player that picks up the game will use it due to not knowing any better.
The more reasonable ones will probably get some sense, stop using it and improve in the game, while others will become "single player elites" like {<>i<>} Hoplite here and swear by their precious noob cannon.
Bottom line is you'll always have plasma noobs in this game, so either learn to live with it or move on to other games.
I agree with all you say, it's a brilliant observation!
That's what I said in my post, so we're all good. :)
