Is it better than 2001 AVP2?

Has anyone here played AVP2 from 2001? That game was amazing, and I recently remembered it. Looked up to see if theres any avp game on steam and found this one.

How does it fare? Is it worth? Game is super cheap, thinking of getting it once I get out of the red

i have never played AVP2 so im not sure how this one compares to it but this game is fun

Graphicwise... Lightyears better, but AvP2 is much richer on Content, Gameplay and most importantly delivers more Fun. At AvP2010 the Fun stops once you encounter Cheaters in Multiplayer.

Yeah and I wasnt even thinking bout multi. I recall how rich the campaign was. Fully featured for Aliens, Marines n Predators. All 3 different gameplay, with several different features for each and storylines that crossed with each other.

Honestly I didnt knew at the time how good of a game that was. And I was a child playin my uncles game with 0 understanding of english. I couldnt get that far into the game. I wish I could get my hands on a copy but it seems many of the main digital storefronts do not sell it. Maybe I should check on GOG

the biggest issue of avp its the connection not gameplay. you are wrong about everything. It quite known that majority of noobs complain about this fact simply because they cant grow a pair and play accordingly. wouldve been a different story if you mention certain "glitches" yet not so powerful as people expects to be, but this game is bug. and somehow its still playable and there are solutions for everything. Go play CoD and see what cheaters truly mean. the main issue is speedhacks, DDos and such. So stop spreading false rumours giving new players the idea that everyone cheats. Its players like you exactly who made avp toxic and dead for this very odd reason: "Plasma is for noob player" "fast heavies are for noob player" when all this occurs unintentionally. Clearly you can sprint heavy in campaign but when i hear you losers complain about certain acts and you cant even make a difference makes me laugh.

Still, even after playing AVP2 since release....I will always love that game. The content, mostly. The story, characters, cheesy lines and the sounds.

It's incredible such depth can't be replicated nowadays by a AAA studio because of what they focus on development

Definatly. Better multiplayer, a better story and is probably the best looking Aliens game out there.

Yeah, Not objectively though. AVP2 has better modding capabilities than avp 2010
