Yes, but it may be necessary to activate it through options. I had to do it.

get yourself an old xbox controller the wired white one that came with the xbox elite s series if you want hassle free.
As soon as you plug theses controller in recognition is instant.

Newer controllers don't work for this game, A wired xbox360 controller will work for sure and im unsure right now about playstaion 3 contollers

Razer Wolverine V2 works perfect, same as standard Xbox One controller
