AVP 2010 vs. 2000

I've played the campaigns for both of them, and enjoy them both, but I just want to ask: which do you guys prefer?

I think AVP 2000 is more accurate to the franchise, and has a better atmosphere. I think the 2000 version feels more like the movies than the 2010 version. The level design is probably better too. However, one thing I really don't like about the 2000 version is how fast everything is. When you move in that game, you practically move at warp speed, no matter which character you're playing as. I can understand the Xenomorph moving really fast, but the Predator and Marine? Not so much. This isn't Sonic the Hedgehog. This is Alien vs. Predator. I had trouble getting used to the controls in the 2000 version too.

As for 2010, I think I enjoy the gameplay a little more, mostly because it doesn't have that warp speed problem that I just described. The graphics are definitely better too. It's impressive how the 2010 version looks, even today. However, I don't think it's quite as accurate to the source material as the 2000 version is. Certain things in this game don't feel as strong as they should be, such as the Facehuggers and the Pulse Rifle. While I do enjoy the levels in the 2010 version, it should be noted that they just copied and pasted the levels for each campaign. That's kind of lazy compared to the 2000 version.

I haven't played the multiplayer for either of these titles, so I'm going to stop here.

To be Honest.... AvsP-2 is the one which I can never ever grow tired with. You should try the Co-Op Campaign MOD for AvsP-2. It's Amazing!

В обоих мультиплеер мне понравился, в AvP 2010 он быстрее за счет мелких карт и фатальных добиваний. В AVP 2000 там большое разнообразие всего, в AvP 2010 очень скудное вооружение/разнообразие/карт и самое главное разработчики сразу забили на игру = не пополняя контент который там так нужен, AvP 2010 графику спокойно тянуло любое корыто и всё красиво выглядит и звуки тоже на высоте. После вышли отдельные игры франшизы (которые обязательны по условиям договора) это "alien колония" "хищник" "кооп alien" "alien исолейшен", все они провальные (например AvP 2010 держалась на плаву в мультиплеере лет 10, AVP 2000 еще больше лет 15, остальные игры франшизы померли быстро после старта продаж)

I liked the multiplayer in both, in AvP 2010 it is faster due to small maps and fatal finishing moves. In AVP 2000 there is a great variety of everything, in AvP 2010 there is very poor weapons / variety / maps and most importantly, the developers immediately scored on the game = without replenishing the content that is so needed there, AvP 2010 calmly pulled any trough graphics and everything looks beautiful and the sounds are also on height. After some games of the franchise came out (which are mandatory under the terms of the contract), these are "alien colony" "predator" "co-op alien" "alien isolution", they are all failures (for example, AvP 2010 kept afloat in multiplayer for 10 years, AVP 2000 for even more than 15 years , the rest of the franchise games died quickly after the start of sales)

The original PC AvP game was released in 1999, not 2000. The updated Gold edition of the game was released in 2000, which added manual saves. The game was extremely hard prior to that, almost unplayable. I liked the marine campaign in the original game, because it had great atmosphere. 2010 game wasn't bad, but had an underwhelming marine campaign. It had a much superior predator campaign, though. I didn't like alien campaigns in either.

It 2000 moves fast because it's an older game running on newer hardware. The problem didn't really exist when the game came out. It made the game's atmosphere much better, too.

That's true. There is a way to download it for free, but it is tricky to get it working. Even then, it still has issues. I can't get Primal Hunt working at all.
