That annoying click...click sound - Any way to remove it?

Does anyone know if there is a hack or mod that gets rid of the (motion tracking) constant clicking sound? I found a mod that was using sounds from AVP2....and it is a nice improvement and slightly reduces the volume but that annoying click click is driving me nuts. Is there any config file in AVP 2010 ? I ask because I can't find anything that says config.file.

well....crap. I really am liking this game a lot but that incessant clicking is sooo irritating. You would think the devs would have made a separate audio level or gave the option of turning it off. Thanks for the info though.

i know there is a sound mod floating around...people have swapped the sound of certain guns with audio from the movies. I'm sure you could just swap the click sound with a silent file to stop the noise. Imo I have no qualms with the sound; it just constantly reminds me of my paranoia that there truly is something out there but it's not moving

main munu options tab click on sound option tab

in the menu you will see sfx lower this all the way nomore click click enjoy :)

there's a fine line between hacking and modding. In this case this audio reduction adjustment actually does not help or hinder the player therefore not against the rules imo. Now say if he amplified the sound of a predator powering-on stealth...I could consider that a hack because it gives the player a higher chance of hearing and locating the predator.

I really don't see a problem with this sound. It's not overly loud or annoying, certainly not enough to make a mod for it.
