Runners in AVP 3?

Everyone that finished at least one of the three campaigns has seen a xenomorph model that is not available as a multiplayer skin. It spits acid, does not have any tube like structures on it's back, has a thinner tail if compared to human spawned warriors and has a more brownish color (in the marine campaign you can find a corpse of one of these aliens in the same mission where a predator attacks). What is odd is that all of these features are seen in runners (http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140221025527/avp/images/0/07/NECA_Dog_Alien.jpg http://i.ebayimg.com/images/i/311527952911-0-1/s-l1000.jpg), thus these acid spitting aliens may be runners themselves (altough no dog is seen in the game, it does not mean there would be no dogs in the colony). Am I the only one who realized this?

The developers, Rebellion, are no longer associated to the game. They don't have any rights over it. SEGA on the other hand removed this game and Aliens: CM from their support list.

Wonder why that happened? AvP is decent and even better than Aliens:CM. So that pretty much eliminates any possibility of some sort of workshop? Not surprising given how old this game is..

Oh the mod? It's a little tricky to install on first try but.. Hey I don't mind linking it.
You may run into some issues if not installed properly, so be careful not to break your game. And always keep backup files.

Sadly not many addons have been made for this game.. Seeing how the engine was not provided.
