Why marines don't have combat masks ?

I was wondering, for which reason, the marines doesnt use combat masks ? I kinda find it silly, they know that Face hugger allien exist and that it chokes people by jumping on their faces to lay eggs.

Why dont they have masks ? or closed helmets over their faces ? Not only it will pretty much negates face huggers but it also prevents acid melting your face (Or atleast temporaly)

Xenomorphs could still "harvest" the humans, but they would have to tear their masks out first (And if its metalic closed helmet, they would most likely kill the human instead)

Putting aside the Facehugger's ability to melt helmets in the movie Alien, The Marines don't know Facehuggers/Xenomorphs/Aliens even exist. Not in the movie; not in the game.

Yeyland Yutani know about the existence of Aliens and they use synthetics as their combat force, making masks redundant.

In the game, they are aware of Aliens. It's clear that their encounter with Aliens on BG-386 is not their first one. They don't know anything about Predators though.

Because Marines are thrown into the deep end by the powers to be ie YEYLAND CO,as host for the huggers to start the Alien spawn,,they enaable the seed to be planted and the rest is History.in short,Marines are fodder and the perfect host.

If anyone has watched the Alien movies you would know that facehuggers can melt through their helments (btw, they were wearing space helments, not just natural glass.) and besides, Combat Masks would be more for COMBAT not for PROTECTION. anyone seeing my point? THEIR BLOOD IS ACID! even if you did try removing the facehugger from the helment, it will emit acid...

NOTE : Their acid is stronger than stomach acid, which is ONE of the most powerful acids in the world.

Intresting thing about aliens is , as they have acid blood they cant never form a blood clot. Aliens never suffer from clogged arteries.

AvP 2, AvP Classic and AvP 2010 all have different timelines. But it's generally understood that the marines are aware of the Aliens' existence in the AvP games.
