Controller not working

i have a xbox 360 controller connnected to the computer with all the drivers and things, but it doesnt work on this game i already activated it in the settings what can i do?

no no no ,this game is better with the keyboard , better aim ,better acurace , you are new at this game and you really want to play with a controller against PRO-bastards that are in this game?

i mean people with over 2K hours of avp game play in multiplay ,guy ,realy you should forget the controller for this game if you will play online it.

Its probrobly not working since this game does not have controller support. It's a game from 2010 that had a PC version and console version, not like the developers are going to come back to a 6 year old game and put controller support in. Your gonna have to learn to play with a keyboard man controller support doesn't exist here.

and why does the game has an option to enable the controller in the settings if the game hasnt controller support? also sometimes it works but it mostly dont

Then the game probrobly used to have working controller support but since the game is in the state it is in right now then I assume that something went wrong concerning the controller support before the devs abandoned the game. So it is probrobly due to a glitch back when the game was still being patched and it was left unfixed, if it works sometimes maybe try to reconnect your controller or verify your game cache and hope that works otherwise their is probrobly nothing you can do really the game is pretty broken in the state it is in right now.

Go into options then control,,is gamepad setting ghosted out ?
try unplugging your xbox controller and plugging it back in to see if the control setting unghost,,ie if the control option is faded out.

Go into options then control,,is gamepad setting ghosted out ?
try unplugging your xbox controller and plugging it back in to see if the control setting unghost,,ie if the control option is faded out.

it is gosted out when i dont enable controller but its unghosted when i enable it

Then its the controller try an older controller,,if you have an older one unplug then plug back in and press the centre xbox logo switch.

Thats weird as ghosted out means it aint reconised?.

i use a xbox 360 controller which is old enough i think and ghosted out means tha it isnt recognized

Sorry for the misstype.,,you can download from Microsoft Hardware,type in your search ie GOOGLE,,Microsoft Hardware,,and search in the download option tab for controller drives.

Also try unplugging the usb adaptor attached to the controller wire,clean both inputs and reconnect,unplug your controller and exit Steam.

Back at Windows Desktop plug your controller in and see if Windows installs driver software,if it don,t then you will need to update the controller drives.
