AvP2010 not starting up! Please help!
So recently I bought AVP2010 as it was on sale.But when I try to start it up,the game just doesn't boot up.The process for it hangs in Task Manager but no window opens.
I already updated my GPU drivers,reinstalled the game and verified the cache.
Please help me.

What you're likely experiencing is an easy to solve conflict with your antivirus. What is happening is AvP has a few more files to install for its first ever launch but the antivirus is blocking it. Disable your antivirus until AvP launches for the first time then you can enable the antivirus and never have to do it again.

I don't have an antivirus installed,only Windows Defender and ZoneAlarm Firewall,but i disabled those,and still the same thing.

Hello, configure the sound in windows, properties, advanced options and select 16 bit, 44100 Hz.

Update : I managed to fix the game with a weird workaround. I would go into the game folder,delete the intro video files,then recheck the integrity and after that it would work. But only if I deleted the intro files,trying to delete any other wouldn't work. Weird workaround,but maybe it can help someone.

Old post, but what version of windows10 are you running? Some of the basic version, don't come with all the media codecs by default and need the installation of windows media pack.
