"Internal Error" after Vulkan Update
The game keeps randomly crashing and a small pop up box saying "Internal Error." First, when making a rail junction and secondly when clicking on the bus depot. My game has no new mods and it is a saved game I have played for a week. The game freezes and my friend blue swirly circle appears and then nothing.

the file stdout may provide a pointer to what is happening.

mine is having the same problem, only that an internal error window appears as soon as it runs the game. and the game goes black ... as soon as the error window closes. the game closes too. I went back to the previous version and it works normal. and with the error update.

that is the problem. There is none. Simply "Internal Error" with a white cross in a red circle. Had it been a modding error, it would have provided me with the details.

There is always a file stdout . If it is all fine and then ends with internal error well ok but you have not said that you have actually checked it .

Is the error repeatable in that every time you click on the road depot it crashes ?

I am having the exact same issue, no mods installed, validated install files. I know I can run vulkan, I have with other games. TF2 presents "An error just occurred" dialog box, and then black screen and hang. The stdout file says "MinidumpCallback: dumpPath "D:/steam/userdata/<usernumber>/1066780/local/crash_dump/", minidumpId "b05844ac-8774-427c-a35d-72f52ce7914b", succeeded 1
local time is Wed Feb 24 20:43:11 2021

An error just occurred.

and opening the dump file the cause was
"The Thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access."

We summarized the common problems with the update in the FAQ: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1066780/discussions/0/3109143950416108967/

Did you try the appropriate workarounds? Did that help?

Our devs are still investigating the problems and additional patches are expected for the next few days.

I took a look at this last night and have followed the guidelines. Will try playing again this evening after studies.

I have tried the troubleshooting guide and the results are consistent with Vulkan. The dump file indicated the cause was
"The Thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access."

It is just so frustrating! My game loads, runs for a few minutes (I am saving like a madman every time i lay a piece of track haha) then when scrolling from one side of the map to the other, black screen, blue swirly circle, force shut down of game. I have tried the work around, validating the game by right clicking etc. NOTHING works!

Did you try to switch to OpenGL for the time until further patches arrive? (You can do that in the graphics settings in the main menu)

I just play tested my game after just waiting patiently and ran the game for 30 minutes. No crashes. I increased autosave to every 5 minutes. It works! Hallelujah!

Hola buenas tongo un problema. Al momento de crear una nueva línea de barco. El juego se pega y no carga. Instale el juego de nuevo pero sigue pasando lo mismo. Alguien sabe que puede ser?

I am having the same problem. As soon as I open the game, a message appears telling me an error just occurred. I have tried changing the render from VULKAN to OPENGL but whenever I launch the game it changes it back to VULKAN. Is there any way to stop this from happening?
