I watched the super-broken beta tests with streamers.
I played the extremely broken release that stayed broken for a LONG time.

They have mostly just made fixes since then, and made the game "playable".
Now they want money for mounts. A feature that should have been in the game since launch. Worst part, is that they haven't mentioned that they would make it a DLC all those times they talked/hyped about it in their videos, only because they knew that people would stop playing the game if they did.

They're behaving like typical scam developers, and to praise them in any way, is ignorant. Did you know, that the income they get from this game, makes no (zero) difference to the Amazon income rate? So there's no other reason why they would charge money for this disaster, than them being greedy. The more people that realize that, the more pressure they get to actually do a good job without milking money. If they close it down, then you'd have the answer everyone else have realized a long time ago.

I agree with you mostly. It's probably true the game doesn't generate income but even worse is that it's bleeding currently. However, just because Amazon can afford losses doesn't mean they should or will continue to let the game bleed. That's not how business works. The reality is that they get told to make some revenue or they get shut down or laid off or w/e else.

The reason to keep it up is the brand name and Amazon has been having some embarrassments lately so i don't really know.

Either way, my position is this: the game can be fun but is mediocre and in my case ive had more frustrations than super fun times so i couldn't care less, there are PLENTY of other games to try out. I'd like the game to become great but alas...

but alas it doesn't need to because idiots will continue to buy it, buy the cosmetic crap, use bots to not having to do much of anything and cheat to kill other players to feel important?

People, its up to the players to decide if a game is worth a damn. As long as this ♥♥♥♥ studio has enough people singing its praises (totally undeserved) then they will continue to allow bots, cheating etc. That is why I will never go back.

A lot of hate towards this game, its understandable, the decisions made by the devs to cater to the general WoW crowd at the start and not to innovate at the start (as they are trying to do now) has left a bad taste.

Lets be honest here, the game is not bad, actually compared to other MMOs id say this one is one of the best in terms of graphics, story and combat(yes i know it could have been better if they kept the souls like combat it had, but in an mmo that's quite hard to maintain)

I personally never gave a F about mounts, the map is small, and you can teleport everywhere, what mounts will do now is to make world tours faster and make the map feel smaller. Putting them behind a payway does feel like a slap in the face for many.

I liked this game a lot, been a player since the closed alpha, and although the game has improved a huge lot since when i first played it and launch, there are things that got changed that removed its charm.

What would make me want to play again? a difficulty increase, and i don't mean make quests or bosses harder, simply allow drop all on death, make the general loot and pvp systems to fit that idea, balance it around hardcore plays, and you will get some new peeps in, hell you don't even need to change the current game, just add a specific server with such ability.

One thing I would like to see is a bit more flexibility with the Overwolf New World Minimap application. Right now, it's been crippled down to completely useless due to game sanctions. While I understand you don't want us to know where everything is, at least give us the opportunity to mark gathering node locations. I realize animals roam but give us at least something useful for those who install the minimap mod. Please.

I wouldn't bother wasting your time, the devs don't care about you or any other player. They got their money when idiots like me got the game on release. I stopped playing just months in and I know the devs don't care and they won't care if you or anyone else stops playing too.

What about fixin the game instead ???
