New World website shows server online but still getting World is under maintenance.

Just came back to try this game again after leaving a while back due to it being boring and rubbish, only to find I played for half an hour, got a lag detected message and now get a World if under maintenance message when trying to log back in even though the server status page shows a green tick for my server.

What pile of dog-turd player experience is this? I really don't think any publisher or developer is capable of delivering a fun and frustration-free gaming experience when it comes to MMOs. These types of games need to evolve into something worth players money and time or die.

Got back in for 10 mins and then lag detected message and disconnected again. Try to log back in and getting this "World is under maintenance" lie.

Screw this turd-pile of a game. It's worth nothing other than an uninstall.

I have a 125Mbps connection with Virgin Media and an i9 10900K and 2080Ti so not sure why this lag detected nonsense is happening.

same thing was in trade post no warning nothing and got disconnected and i thought bethesda maintenance was bad this is worse as it doesnt even warn you

well according to nwdb.info 3 well filled servers are empty, guess it's really a maintenance job or ddos

it just happened the servers crashed some quests are bugged for hours and idk what the billion dollar company doing not getting good servers and maintenance devs

Every MMO has scheduled weekly server maintenance updates. This allows for bug testing patch fixes etc etc. It's very important.

Final Fantasy has it
Black Desert has it
Elder Scrolls has it
Blade & Soul has it
You get the idea.

... and proceeds to lie to you about the server being under maintenance. This server instability is not exactly good press for Amazon's Cloud services if they can't even get stable server infrastructure in place for their own MMO. 🤦‍♂️

Yes but I'd guess those other titles have accurate server status pages or, god forbid, a server status MOTD front and center when you get to the log in screen. And when you manage to log back in, you get to play for more than 10 minutes before being kicked out and getting server maintenance messages again when you try to reconnect,
