October 2023 New World is Near-Unplayable

So, I've been playing this game off and on for some time and it's always, ALWAYS, had stability and server load and performance issues. However, I cannot recall the game's stability being as bad as it is now. It may be recency bias, but it feels like whatever was done to New World made the game far worse.

Any attempt to log into the game after 6pm EST results in long queue times, add to the game being incredibly unstable with unexpected crashes that generally occur during load screens but can also happen while in towns where there is a lot of activity. In its state, combining the constant crashes with the 30 minute-1 hour queue times makes the game almost unplayable in its current state. I do not know if there is even any intent on fixing these issues as they haven't seemed to improve at all since the launch of the latest major update.
