Go on West - El Dorado and stand outside Prydwyn at any time of day. Three were all locked up yesterday morning, standing in place, so I assumed the machine they're running on locked up. Normally they're clear-cutting the wood just outside the walls all day long.
Always wearing the same gear as well, for some reason, usually with a Greatsword. Every so often the sword swings so I figure they auto-activate it to either a) kill any random low level mob that attached, or; b) do an attack every so often to not look like a bot?
But they're all over and I've come to suspect many players are using bots to farm for them. I don't think this is just gold generation for online buyers but the old days of when players in WoW etc. would pay for bots to farm for them.
It is a PITA when something is constantly drilling at a node so your odds are reduced more than if it was all humans and random rather than a Terminator programmed to collect, never sleeping.
But you were being disingenuous anyway. I replied for others.
Posted on the Reddit sub about it and it was removed pretty quick. You can't even mention it.

Baby steps, my man. Baby steps.....
I'm on high pop and I can almost always find nodes without issue. I used to see bots and report them but haven't seen any in a long time.
Says the player that is paying for bot services.
No player runs to a node that has already been farmed. And then again.
Reason was the unbelievable grind for resources,
what just ended up in unbelievable boredome!
The resources needed for armor and crafting need to be reduced DRASTICALLY!
Especially the exponential growth of resources needed for higher crafting materials
needs to be deleted.
MORE GRIND = MORE BOTS
What did you expect?
For the next level of armor I wanted to craft I calculated an additional playtime
of over 4 years! If you have 10-12 hours of playtime EVERY DAY, ok, go ahead
and craft things in half a year. But with max. 2 hours of playtime and
days you do not want to play the same game over and over again, the grind is just too much...
No wonder some opt for bots to do this booring work...
Absoluteley no surprise here!
Well, but some players that do not want to grind using their worthfull lifetime may welcome bots that grind materials for them. That way they can exchange booring grinding with money they pay the goldsellers to buy the materials.
this game needs a big cleanup!
As others have said, no developer can clean this up. Even the most proactive anti-bot-cheat Devs in the genre that I know of Pearl Abyss the makers of Black Desert Online. People still RMT for piloting services and already geared accounts being sold for over $7,000USDs in that game.
The problem is that MMO companies are not keeping up with the times. As more and more of the older MMO players get 40 to 80 hour a week jobs. They are more so willing to spend 20 hours of that week in cash to skip the 600 hour in-game grind equivalent.
The only solutions to combat these practices is for either the developers to allow players to transfer gold in to IRL cash and vice versa. Or the developers can stop living in the past thinking the average gamer can live only working 40 hour work weeks. And make the grind more tolerable to the new age average gamer. Or else the majority of the hardcore PvPers will just buy gold from RMT vendors.
I'm guessing AGS have figured this out already and has opted for a light handed approach to the RMTing in New World. I guess AGS would rather make some money of the cheaters buying from their cash shop as well. Instead on catering to only the B2Pers that have massive amounts of time but no lives.
All I have to say peeps, is Welcome to the New Age! Those that have jobs are willing to spend some of their IRL money to skip massive amounts of unnecessary amounts of boring grind. To get to the meat and potatoes of the game to have fun.
Here is the conversion either spend 2000 hours to grind the gear or spend 15 hours of your work week proceeds? You decide!
-Ignores post pointing to one 24/7 bot location of many.
-Feigns ignorance. Very poorly, at that.
Poor, innocent Kagemusha. Just another oblivious wanderer of Aeternum, going from one node to another, whether it's been picked or not.
