I suggest you to do the raid, because it is the only way to get 725gs gear.
I'm already full 725gs because doing the raid you get armor pieces you can change one perk or craft your gear with 725gs even if your crafting level is 0.
Well, i dont Raid. Its that simple.
So this game is not for me anymore.
Even if i have 1500 hours in it.
Maybe ill log on once a week to farm a coconut just because its a sliver of hope that AGS will change things.
Not holding my breath tho.
I know, i was there, and i quit in frustration then as well.
I'm talking about this release, more or less. The changes they have made to the game this "new" release.
This new release is a disaster for long-time players...
Turned out it was.
I really was positive as well, but should have known something was wrong when AGS didnt release any information pre release, about how they have locked most content behind this raid and time gating.
Would have hurt their sales for sure.
Anyway, i am done with this game and this incompetent developer team.
This console release is just a money grab. Nothing else.
Just out of curiosity, would 700 gear be enough to get me into the new raid? people seem to be really fussy about who they take in and i dont wanna go in and spoil it for a serious group
They usually like you to have about 705+ and knowledge of mechanics of the raid to let you in.
The problem starts when you get in PUG Raids that cant clear more than first boss before they quit in frustration. So my advice is getting into a guild dedicated to make good raid's with its members.
Edit: 705+ is obtainable with doing a few weeks of coconut farming and upgrading a couple Articats to 725. Not difficult.
That right there is also the problem, people gate keeping the event because they dont want to waste their time so will only take those with the gear and knowledge. Everyone has to start somewhere but we dont like to waste our time. So that is why alot of people dont do the raid unless it is infact a dedicated group.
In either case the arguement is that it promotes guilds and more teamplay, but then the top gear is locked behind it so people will quit because of this sentiment as well.
other had less or more.
"For casual or solo players its really no reason to keep playing"
casual and solo players may try expeditions or raids but will be gatekeeped from wanneby elitist with no patience to teach and train newbies real combat tactics, they only care about maximum loot with low risk with braindead metabuilds often exploiting unfixed glitches and rely on skipping most encounters before the few bossfight, these videos are even boring to watch on youtube.
the decision from ags to sponsor new content for the disavantage of expedition status was a grave mistake the player count on legacy will suffer from that until ags will release more content.
as long pvp island balance is broken through teamplay with thirdparty com tools there is plenty of questwork to do on freshstart as an alternative.
i mostly used the doubloons to unlock some skins for transmog and switched back to freshstart after doing the daily soultrials with the firstborn toon on legacy
only like 5 percent from new world need 725 gearscore.
the more elitists in disguise quit because of that temporary error ags made, the better for the game and random pugs.
most things some self-proclaimed progaming champions are able to teach are ways to mask there shady ways of exploits for the easy-anti-cheat engine to avoid the well deserved vlc-banhammer.
as an still active soloplayer i just say gearscore 725 is not mandatory for soloplay because most artifacts dont support the soloplay perks that are much more important than a few dozen more attributes points.
the more believable reason people had quit are lack of patience to wait until needed fixes are done from ags while getting no eta or fragments of a roadmap.
also the return of events from past if not executed with less mistakes have distracted the devs from adding the delayed new content a lot of returners had hoped for.
critical failure within communication with the fanbase is the main reason for people to get low on morale, not your focus to remain on the gearscore top as a bribe to not got insta-kicked from elitist lobbies.
now ist time for me for dinner and getting back to play my toons far much better soloing stuff than ever before as within other mmos i know.
The fact is that most of this endgame is PvP.
Either if its 3vs3, Outpost Rush, Open World or Guild PvP, its endgame are mostly PvP.
PvP is heavily influenced by your gear and gearscore.
I can hold my own in PvP even if i am lacking in gearscore, but the fact that its going to be even larger differences over time isn't good enough.
And most new or undergeared people will not enjoy PvP in any shape in this game.
I can agree its some satisfaction to be had by just playing the game and doing quests etc, and you don't need more than 700GS to do that. But that's not endgame in this game, and i am done with most of it already.
The fact that they have removed any reason to do the 12 Expeditions, or to work on crafting has been instrumental to why i quit the game.
Every time i log in, i feel that i have no sense of purpose, and because i dont raid im shut out of activities and undergeared with no way to really improve it besides a RNG Coconut Piece ONCE A WEEK.
Let that sink in.
Simply put, AGS/Amazon has made a decision to time gate content and hide 725GS gear inside a Raid because they thought it would keep player population healthy.
As it stands now, people are quitting because of it.
But AGS doing braindead decisions is nothing new.
Thanks for the advice appreciate it
But doing it now? Have some self-respect and quit. Why would you intentionally compete at a decisive disadvantage? You can play CS2, LoL or PUBG on an even playing field.
Only losers who can't compete fairly will stick around here -- to gank helpless console noobs. It's the only way they can win.
NW:A is a final "thank you" from AGS to their old veterans before going into maintenance mode.
"Have some fresh console noobs with -25GS to farm in OPR and FFA PvP. Thanks for your support. There will be no roadmap."
There are a lot of players returning after a long break (like me) who only have 700 rated gear, Im trying to learn the best ways to improve that gear and Im not a "loser who cant compete fairly" I dont even know the exploits everyone is talking about.
It seems Ive returned to a bigger sh!t show than it was over a year ago lmao
As a solo player this stuff is really off putting, I just want a way to farm better gear but it looks like ive got to collect f*cking coconuts
