Aim-ASSist ruined FPS games on PC, seems like it doesn't stop there. All because the poor lil console peasants can't aim, so they need autoaim

the auto aim issnt locked on the ENEMY HEAD its on the body on the mid....so u has to aim for the head as range

Turning it off puts you at a disadvantage, They have ruined good combat in this game. You haven't been playing for the past 3 years like most PC players and have watched this game down they wrong path multiple times. I bet they could add Auto-play and someone like you would enjoy it.

It's really not that important. It's a game. And because it's crossplay, it evens the playing field now for console players. Not everyones as "hardcore" as you man. My wife has logged into the game for the first time on console and she's useless with a controller. That autoaim feature made her experience more enjoyable.

I'm a little happy to see that New world Aeternum is more beneficial for consoles. The pc community has become so toxic, it's childish.

Amazon! If you read this, leave the pc users behind. Make this a console only game! ;)

Once again, you are missing the point. The game now has "AimLocking" this is not "AimAssist", Most people are ok with auto aim including me "AimAssist" assists controllers and evens that playing field you are talking about just like COD and Battlefield and fortnite have "AimAssist". "AimLocking" completely takes away from the "Action Combat" and ruins how some of the weapons are used. You can do full 180s and 360s without even moving anything if you are locked on a target, how is that fun for anyone? This is not being Hardcore. This is about completely changing the core combat. Ill say this again Im all for Aim assist it is needed for controller players to keep up (like your wife). Locking just makes the game feel like and auto play mobile game. I'm not trying to have no controller players, we need them. You can Have Aim Assist that is not having straight up aimbot.

Another thing you are not seeing is all the broken promises to PC players, and this is one of them. The DEVs stated before that aim lock was not going to be in PVP, they said there will be aim assist and they will adjust it accordingly.

(XBOX) I, like many want a new couch/recliner MMORPG, and that is just what that beta felt like. So I pre-ordered to get the mount, now I'm on my Steam account buying it as well. This is all the devs could have hoped for in making this choice...and it worked. The game you love has been given new life. Now either change and grow with it by welcoming the new blood (your NW saviors), or complain, stand in the way, make silly noises, ...or...wait...can't you turn "crossplay" off?....nevermind...

It still takes one Action to "lock target" and it prioritizes mobs, and it also doesn't have a more accurate hitbox than musket at more than 15M. For open world good aimers will still have an advantage. I don't see the big deal other than letting others enjoy the game as well.
