Should a new player start on the Fresh Start server(s) or does it matter?

When i played, the new servers where best because people wanted to lvl up in same content, but problem was when the new servers died later.

Old servers are kinda elitist with people inspecting gear to do high lvl content.
So my advice is New Server (if possible) then transfer to old if it gets low population.

I havent played in a while tho.

it doesn't matter, to get level 60 takes 24 hours game play time so they are the same as legacy servers because they've been up for nearly a year now.

best thing would be don't buy the game.

Lilith is really populated. Just started there myself. Tons and tons of people everywhere. I would suggest there. The older serves have like 500 people on them.

Cheers, I hope you do enjoy the game. I bought it on release and very much enjoyed it for a time. I hope they improve the game but that is not the way its going so I have been told by friends who still play.

with the new expansion coming the main thing for you is where you want to be, obviously you will be behind in any crafting/gathering situation. although you can try and make it up in a couple skills before and during first part of launch, as far as being geared for endgame? we all be in the same boat of starting over so its a good time for that. larger older servers have more endgame players to do chest runs, elite area runs etc. newer first start servers probably fine but also should be fewer in that tier. so both effective depending on what your goals are
also note the grind for 0-60 currently can be easily completed in a couple weeks of casual play.

Just to point out that current high pop servers will be over full and locked on the first day of expansion.

Eg: Nyx was max pop for 6 hours today and is now locked
