Basically from now you have a countdown of 6 months and.. after that... your shiny bis gear you crafted, dropped or shiny bis you have bought on market will be trash...
CLAP CLAP ags if you want to close the server sooner, thats your best move ever.

They need to create many more avenues to get better gear because this game is stingy as hell when it comes to upgrading your gear.
1 step in the right direction is removing pvp perks from pve buckets so you cant roll ward and resilient/crit retribution on the same piece of armor
Thats what i was thinking too. Before to do some drastic moves they need to add more content and fix existing game and game engine. Its pathetic right now, after 1.5.y to still see lag when you arrive in City even if you play NW from a high end pc.
Morever i completely agree with you. Before to do drastic moves they need to fix crafting and perk system. I completely agree with "1 step in the right direction is removing pvp perks from pve buckets so you cant roll ward and resilient/crit retribution on the same piece of armor".
Anyway going to uninstall too forever. They dont see me neither for CD (i open right now NW only for cd after the news and after that i close immediately).
I don't like this game as things are and hold out for it to become an MMO, rather than the MMO-lite that it currently is i.e. you play but there no purpose or real endgame.
In saying that, taking WoW for example, any time there's an expansion, the gear you have i.e. top-end gear, is pretty worthless as they next thing you get from a drop is worth more - so in effect, as a game progresses, gear eventually becomes obsolete and they send you back round the hamsters wheel again to work for it all again, to become useless again at a later date.
If this the kind of thing they are talking about for NW?
IDK. Honestly IDK. But you cannot move instantly from a system to another one. Expecially when you have a game in a downward spiral. And New World is a dying game right now. If they do that means a lot of people will leave, forever. NW was asking until now too much time to achieve a good gear. And if you are asking now to do that again from zero is.. nosense for most people.... It was a smarter move, from my perspective, to give you an upgrade path... But if they want to further reduce their player base... its their decisions.... they are free to do whatever they want..
I think that the majority of their decisions, both in terms of game design and since release, have demonstrated a lack of strategy i.e. no real plan that they have stuck to and it seems far too fluid, so please don't really know where they stand.
the good thing with WoW and other mmo's that have this system is theres a clear path to getting the new best end game gear and it's by playing their latest and greatest expansions content, new world doesn't have this. New world relies heavily on running old worn out content to have a slim chance something will drop from a handful of dungeons (or pvp mini game) scattered around the map.
I spent a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get good gear sets, and if the devs are going to make them obsolete, I have no interest in playing anymore. Not today, and definitely not when the gear reset happens.
This kind of gear reset is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in gaming. It's a penalty for veterans who have been keeping the game alive while most of the casuals left. It's basically deleting all the player progress that took thousands of hours to achieve. Amazing.
Any company that thinks this is a good idea, cannot be trusted to build a simple mobile game, let alone a complicated MMO.
When I first saw that woke garbage in game starting screen, I should have just followed my instinct and uninstalled the game right there and then. Would have saved me a lot of time, but better late than never.
You are not the only one. Lot of people going to leave, this time forever. I think its their worst decision ever. But what can you do with a team that has taken until now only bad decisions ? Nothing. You can only avoid to buy their next product to make em understand your time is precious and their dev team need to be fired. After all their game, their rules...
OFC they have to. Pathetic situation as i see now.
Noone (a loooot less people) will be interested from now to craft, to buy bis, to buy gear that you are going to trash in the next months :D
The funny thing is that they guy in video is a real white knight :D that doesnt realize (or probably he doesnt want to see the truth) the disaster done from their public relations manager. This news its literally a bomb dropped for next months that sit in the game with the player until this gear reset. Unless they close the server before next 6 months.
