Also I sometimes see people using weapons they haven't used, as if they want to level their weapons in mutations, which is a ♥♥♥♥ move.
And rolling the dice.

very unsatisfaying to use against pve elite mobs with a lot of hitponts just learned for achievement and skipped for bunderbluss.
actually best used as a hunting weapon if you already have enough points in int for better reasons but have some nice skins and animations.

It's garbage though there is no denying ;)
I don't personally mind the slow fire rate if they would just do more damage.
This could have been so easily solved by giving bullets some travel time.
No, because the aimbots made for new world work for all weapons, including bow and fire staff. Bullet drop would solve nothing.
The devs already said that the amount of calculations for bullet drop were to great for performance. Its why they went with hit scan in the first place.
But hitscan is not the issue, its aimbots and damage exploits. It's actually very hard to hit moving targets at a great range, especially if they are engaged in combat due to all the melee teleporting that happens.
But to just be sure they choose the absolute worse way to make changes they double down on their just randomly selected bad idea. They have no concept of how to make mild changes, monitor said changes and do further adjustments later if needed.
In my opinion just a damage output reduction would have done more to fix the issues than the revamp that they did.
the musket was never overpowered. Watch the two videos I linked above. Most of what you saw in OPR from "over powered" muskets were not legit players.
I had one today aimbot me and 3 shot me with 5x resilience, thrust resist and 160+ con. I also had a heal bot on me. I was about 60 yards away and it was BAM BAM BAM back to back, except the musket cant do that. I went into the next match with my musket and it was amazing how much the gun missed at that range in a rapid fire situation. And mine has the accuracy perk on it.
