Posts about fixing New World
Devs don't interact with posters on this forum. To improve New World, a few things need to happen first. I'm often portrayed as a hater, even though I'm not. I want to see this game improve, but I am a realist.

1. A NW representative or dev needs a presence on this forum. This is absolutely imperative. Trust cannot be rebuilt with this community until genuine interaction occurs. The representative needs to communicate earnestly and fairly. They need to be willing to discuss issues rather than stifle them or hide them.

2. A roadmap of content needs to be released. Not a roadmap of a few misc. things with small content sprinkled about. There needs to be an approximate but fairly accurate, "we anticipate adding an expedition by Feb. A raid by April. A new event by July." etc. New and unique content is the key to player retention. It's time to evolve the mechanical elements of the game. Just adding new skins and 1 micro-mechanic here and there isn't enough.

3. Consider separating pve and pvp balance (games like GW does this). Just because something is busted in pvp doesn't mean it is busted in pve. Code things to scale separately when pvp is flagged.

4. Lay off the heavy monetization until the product is worth the monetization. You have started creating better cosmetics. Keep on this path. What you just released is better than anything released before. But you should consider making things like server transfers free but time-gated. This will allow better player retention as players can move away from dwindling servers.

5. Stop using the phrase, "we've heard the players," only to not act on the overwhelming amount of criticism. Take it seriously. When something just isn't feasible, say so. It's much better than giving the illusion that it might happen only for people to get angrier.

6. Run the test servers longer to collect data. It seems like they aren't ran long enough to work out major exploits.

As retsam1 is likely to point out, this is pointless as the devs don't interact on this forum. This is true. However, the players constantly posting here with their idea solutions are unrealistic as basic communication needs addressed first.

Good luck New World devs, you need it, but I wish the best.
