The ONLY solution I can think of is changing your IP protocol.
This is a Steam thing. My Steam Deck has lots of issues if connecting through anything IPv6. Same with my Manjaro gaming PC.
Not defending Amazon, as they are a terrible, greedy, incompetent company - but this issue is on Valve and happens with many games.
As a programmer I probably have a different definition of spaghetti code than you do. I very much doubt that NW is spaghetti code. It has had more than one development team and was originally for console then warped for PC then reconfigured to be both. Spaghetti code, no, schizophrenic most defiantly.
I have to turn IPV6 off on my systems that I can, Cause it causes alot of issues for me. I tried everything the router has to offer for IPV6. And nothing. Just causes my games to lag (Internet) or disconnect. Rarely do I get crashes tho.
