Will New World make it past 2025?

As you all know, New World has been relaunched, but despite that, it has fallen short of the numbers it reached during its initial launch. I believe that, while it’s not too late, the developers need to accelerate like never before if they want New World to stay alive. The roadmap doesn’t look bad, but we can’t wait months for features that should have been there at launch.

For me, the essential thing in this game is:
• Please, make sure that everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is accessible through matchmaking. Not everyone, especially on console, is willing to socialize. Matchmaking is essential for both PVE and PVP.”

I didn't even get to the end of your post and thought "the game needs matchmaking, and more ways to get into the action", then you said it at the bottom. There are trials and raids that I have either not played yet, or have not finished because I only managed to get into a group a few times. Makes me want to go back to 4 player coop games where you just queue up and run.

Probably not, all they do is reskin zones and rework the main story for the millionth time. Oh yeah the 1 millionth round of stupid fresh start servers so u can play the same exact "content" over and over again.

It's not gonna be in a pretty state throughout the year, but they will keep it running. The majority of expenses have been done already and they made a huge pile of cash from console launch. At the same time they'll also want to keep their annual "hey it's October time for an expansion and cashing in money" pattern. Because why not? Running the servers and paying a minimum number of staff probably doesn't cost nearly as much as they gain from releasing another small expansion.

There is nothing wrong with the game, well besides how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ a job it does explaning game mechanics, espicial in Expeditions which is a really bad mix with all the 2nd Rate or clueless rate players in the EU witch will not read or write english and those that do use a Mic expect everyone else to speak their native tongue.

This Dev team is just bad in any way .since start they let it die over and over again . A refresh of that team would help .
