Interesting. This game has losed 2/3 player base after re-re-lease. Peak 61.437 players October 2024. Today 18.115 peak and right now are playing even less people: 16.580 players. Does this game survive until June next year ?

honestly don't understand why people come in here and other forums with these kind of posts, like what exactly are you trying to achieve? People to agree with you to feel validation? Why not just go play a different game, or do you not have literally anything else to play?

edit: OP has steam level 0, and private profile, guess it's the only thing they play, or they're making new accounts just to fish for validation, either way...

Yes I started playing game again when game re-re-lease few months ago and first month or so there was players every where but now as of today I never see that many players and hubs that were full 2 months ago only have few players in them so yes games dying again fast...As of today this game is as dead as it was before they added xbox or ps5 so they are not playing it or not many because game is really dead and sorry fan boys not hating the game and wish it was NOT dead but it is

you didn't answer the question, are you looking for validation in your thoughts on the game? What happens to 99% of other games, they lose player base over time with the exception of a select few, it'll happen to this game even more, and guess what, chances it'll happen to the next game you play as well. Why waste your precious time trying to get others onboard the "hate-train".

you didn't answer the question, are you looking for validation in your thoughts on the game? What happens to 99% of other games, they lose player base over time with the exception of a select few, it'll happen to this game even more, and guess what, chances it'll happen to the next game you play as well. Interesting. Why you hate me so much ? I just explained facts about a game. Please remember that a healty MMO doesnt lose more than 2/3 of his player base in just 2 months. This is weird and im just looking for opinions. Is it a crime ?

As I'd said before, and when that had that zone addition, they'll just receive a punctuated uptick then followed by a return to the declines they've consistently had for years.

There's really nothing unfathomable about it.

I'm on console and the game seems to be dying. I have a huge friends list and now i'm seeing maybe 10-20% of them on at a time. I think the gate keeping mechanics are turning people off.

From what I heard from BagginsTV (Who's always pretty accurate), the Xbox population has 3 times more players than PC, and the PlayStation population is the same as PC. You can do the math on overall concurrent players based on that, I guess.

This game will survive as long as there is no better alternative. As soon as there will be a worthy other MMO, this game will bleed to death quickly. Why? From the start the base things a MMO make great, lack in this game. The game is beautiful, sounds are great, but mechanics, bugs and just stupid management decisions make this game a bit of a joke.
Personally, I can not wait to get my hands on an alternative, until that time, I just keep hanging on...

Very similar to no punishments at launch for bug abusers taking territories. Now there is one step removed. You abuse bugs to complete pve then use the bugged pve loot to hold territory. This leads me to believe territory holding war roster gatekeeping companies are AGS and that the entire game is just a playground for Amazon employees. I think they push away real players with their behavior and they don't care because they can just drop more marketing money to bring people back in later when they want to.

I actually think its sort of intended. They have no subscription so if you are not flagged as a premium dye purchasing whale with all the mounts, they could just flag you for removal and add a little modifier to your character to be killed more easily. If you are not paying, why would they want you to use their bandwidth? They already got all the money they will get from you.

I don't know if this is really part of how New World works, but sure does feel like it. I'd rather have a subscription and be treated like an actual customer than the situation with New World where you play for 2 months and then it feels like all the people left in the club are bouncers trying to throw you out by making your gameplay experience ♥♥♥♥.
