New World: Aeternum

View Stats:
Current State Of The Game.
PVE: Basically same as before.
Best weapons are: Firestaff/Greatsword/Lifestaff.
Worst weapons are: Flail/Musket/bow/hammer.
Grind is the same as always, just farm nodes, spam dungeons and do chest runs.
Only new implementation is artifact grinds, and they consists of 50% insantly aquireable without any effort, 40% hidden behind dungeon and pvp tracks and you wont get them, and 10% behind impossible mega timegated 0.50% droprate chances.

World: New zone looks nice, mounts are fun, however new timegate nodes, easier to craft but more expensive aswell. Basically you can get 1x bis of your choice once per month unless you buy gold.

PVP: Same as its been since brimstone sands.
70-80% of the playerbase play ether bow/firestaff paired with Rapier/spear or Voidgauntlet.
10-15% healers, 10,15% assasins/bruisers running axe/spear/gs, 1-5% tanks running spear/sns/gs/ga.
Strongers weapons:
1# Bow
2# Firestaff
3# Rapier,
Rest is kinda meh.
Worst weapons:
#1 Warhammer
#2 Musket
If you enjoy Fortnite and playing range then you will enjoy pvp, If you enjoy mmo's or Melee playstyles then its not gonna be fun.
Ranged users have no counterplay atm, and only thing that can kill ranged users one on one is another range user.
The pvp has become sorta fortnite/eldenring combination.

What bothers me the most is how the expansion started out with so many fun and unique playstyles. You could build full shirking heals and actually survive in opr vs all those 40x ranged users, but that was removed. Stopwatch made CC builds and combos finally viable again, but then that got removed, so we are back to ether you play bow/fs+rapier or you play sns+spear/gs. Anything else and your gimping yourself.

Musket doesnt even serve a purpose anymore either, right now it sits in the same role as a bow and fire staff but get outshined by both of them. it use to have the long range going for it with the hit scan and scope but now it effective range is basicly the same as a bow and firestaff however has no mobility, less dmg and longer reload times its so bad right now which sucked cause i enjoyed the strategic game play of sitting back and picking off important targets :(

I kinda hope they add a sharpshooter musket artifct that has the zoom mechanic back and double the bullet speed but does less dmg to close targets so there an option for the older playstyle :( instead of just being a ♥♥♥♥ bow/firestaff :D

Yeah, you need to go like 5-50 con, rest into damage to make the musket viable.. Personally i liked the old hitscan, it just needed to be reduced in OPR's, and the zoom was what made you feel like a sniper with it.. Id love to use the musket in heavy but thats absolutely impossible..

But the state of hammer is just... WaW, Never seen sucha bad weapon before, 60% shockwave that never hits, 10% rend?? 90% wreckingball,? So low damage on the melee heavy hitting slow and clunky weapon xd..

they need a sharpshooter artifact that either a hit scan or like double the projectile speed + zoom as its special thing. Could make it do less dmg to targets within 30m or something too so it mainly a long range weapon and gives the musket there role back that they once had.

atm there literlay just a ♥♥♥♥ bow with 0 benefit over them

What happened to warhammer? At least it was like best weapon for PvE when I was playing but it was more than a year ago.

i dont agree with that i find bow very good for pve,
