Devs and support for many years now intentionally do not interact on this forum in any such capacity. You're only complaining to other players here.
If you do a search on this forum as well, you'll come to understand that often reasons arent given for bans and appeals pretty much are pointless as well. Additionally you'll see that this weekend there has been a plethora of posts concerning temp bans.
You're lucky though. More often, bans are permanent by AGS.
All in all, let the situation inform you more as well as to what you're coming back to and also very likely the reasons you left will be similar reasons as to why you may leave again.
Best of luck.

Typical Amazon tomfoolery.
Lol. Ok.
Lol ok https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=new+world+transfer+glitch+ban
"In New World, if you exploit a "transfer glitch" to move your character between servers in a way that is not intended by the game mechanics, you can face a ban from the game, potentially even a permanent one, as it is considered a form of cheating and violates the game's terms of service. "
which is an exploit
Long story short, a lot of people came back for this new season. A few friends were made to transfer their toons because they haven't played in a long time. All world tags were off, so you could transfer any toon to any server.
This is if you came back to the game after a while, or simply used their paid transfer service.
I had 2 friends banned because they unknowingly transfered to a PvP server.
Your own search link proves his point. The bans were for using a glitch, not for using the normal transfer methods.
Seems like you need to be the one reading up on what you're attempting to discuss.
Most transfers done during this time to these servers resulted in a ban. (Although certain companies found ways around this). The servers were not clearly marked as PvP fresh start only. Nothing was done to stop this. In fact, the developers had to be told on Discord this was happening, as they do not play or even test their own game.
Amazon needs to take responsibility here, but there are still a lot of white knights here, so I digress.
