Is it worth getting into this game

I read so much pro and con about the game, I don't want to start something, invest in it and then find it's about to die.

Those of you who play it, can you honestly recommend it as an MMO to start playing now?

No.
They got rid of customer support about 1.5 years ago. I purchased items from their store and those items were taken out of my inventory.

I obtained certain achievements regarding housing (hitting level 300), I never got my last perk choice. Sent in a ticket, ZERO response.

New world was made as a proof of concept so that Amazon Games could obtain the rights to the LOTR franchise to make a LOTR MMORPG. Both games are being made from the same people at the same time.

New World is fun at first, some nice visuals and amazing audio....but once you see the cracks in the pavement and realize what is going on you soon realize they have no intent of putting any serious investment into the game.

Its not one of those things where you'd be missing out in life if you never experienced it, save your money for something better imo.

The combat in New World is top tier. No MMO even comes close. Most of the bad reviews are from a couple years ago. Since then, they have added a lot of content. For a new player, there is hundreds of hours of content for you. And since they have fixed all the major issues, they will be adding a lot more content in the future. I would say this is a good time to get into the game.

Also note, you dont need to make a new character in this game if you want to swap classes. You can play any build, any class at any time.

You will easily have a few dozen hours of fun. Possibly more if you enjoy seeing numbers go up. You can level every gathering, crafting, and weapon skill. Heck even level riding to increase mount speed.

The issues come up end game, and Amazon is pretty incompetent managing the game. Instead of giving us more content and fixing crafting, they are giving us seasonal PvP servers... Can't make this up.

You may continue to make up information as you have for a month now and troll all you want. However, reality doesn't match your claims. Hence why people have pointed out your misinformation constantly.

Here is a link showing the review distribution. We can see most of the positive reviews are from the first few months of launch. The other positive spike is from the first expansion. Since then positivity has dropped off. Matter of fact if you remove the first 3 months, the game doesn't even hit "mixed" review status.

I enjoyed new world for its pvp. Most of my time spent in this game was just spent dueling people. I think the pve in this game is a bit bland and wouldn't recommend it if that's the only thing you care about.
