Very lost, comparing this to Netflix? Lol.
This is more like CNN+.
You need help.
Give it till the end of this year and see where Netflix is standing. They are running on fumes and will likely be consumed by a larger cable entity. They just started tricking people into upgrading and many are pisssssst.
The refunds are going to stack a mile high and millions more who refuse to pay $20+ per month will be jumping ship this month and into the coming months when they realize the depreciating offerings for a higher cost. The losses will leave them short BIGLY and the cost of producing new shows is only ever going up. But what would I know having only been around since 14kbps was the typical internet speed.
Sir, this is New World.
And New World is still alive and kicking.
Sir this is a public forum and 2022 a time where many concerns are being brought up everywhere better get used to it.
New World has barely been out and they released it 1-2 years too early. There won't be any serious talks about New World being shut down unless they get to basically 0 people playing or it's not successful for years. All this game needs is time, and a good team, to become better. Well....
All New World really needs is more content to be fair. What caused most people to quit the game were the constant bugs. They spent month fixing those while the game was live and lost basically all their player base because of it. Instead of producing more content the game has basically been at the Beta level this entire time. New dungeons? New weapons? New cosmetics? All of that isn't real new content it's just recycling old content. You could argue that Mutations, OPR, and the PvP Arena were new content but you could argue it wasn't as well.
Mutations brought along Expertise but Expertise is useless for anything other than Mutations. Doomed to be dead content until they make Expertise more viable. OPR was a new game mode but it should of been available from the Beta. It taking so long to come out was only because they rushed the release. Poor decision by whoever was in charge -- should be fired. They lost the game far more than they'd of lost if they just spent more time working on the game. Could of extended the Beta for longer and had another Beta again later. PvP Arena? Yeah, it's kind of new content but it's just a PvP Arena. It's a pretty basic game mode. Much needed, but it's kind of sad how long it took them to come up with it. Makes me think it'll take years before this game has enough content to actually be playable again.
you dont dedicate months to fixing the game and causing a short term bleed in player count if you dont have a long term plan ahead. Whether you think nw will succeed or not, the developers are in it for the long run. There is also big unannounced content that they are still developing for the game.. im talking new form of end game content. im obviously not gonna talk about it because I dont want to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to the person who trusted me with this info.. but the future is looking better than the present for NW
The real problem is everyone had too many expectations just because Amazon was behind this game. Everyone wanted something similar to old games they enjoyed and this wasn't it. They also hoped they could shape the game to their own vision of what they wanted. Many said NW would become P2W and yet mostr of the doomsayers flocked to the games that actually were P2W. All the doom and gloom while this and that game were so much better, And now we see those other games are all falling flat too. You can please some of the people some of the time but you will never please everyone. Especially those who simply hate Amazon as a company for political reasons.
It looks still alive with it’s condition deteriorating by the week. If this is kicking, then Wildstar must be thriving at the moment.
I’d imagine that the server merges are going to be met with mixed reactions due to the presence of paid transfers and/or established communities, so we’ll see if that bites into the concurrency as well.
Seeing how fast the game is losing players, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't to survive till the end of the year.
