How To Level Up Life Staff Solo?
My friend told me to play in a group and just heal people, I know that, healing someone who kills a creature give your Life Staff XP to level up, but I'm a solo player, I'm usually doing things alone, and as you can imagine, doing damage to kill things with Life Staff is kinda... Enduring. Any hint how to level up Life Staff solo?

Kill things with it :) That's how I got it to level 20 myself.

Just use it as a damage weapon. Life staff has two damage spells and the normal attacks are also good enough. You can also just attack once and then switch to another weapon to give life staff exp.

I solo with life staff since i started the game and never had problems.

It is slow to start with but as Urban Legend posted just kill things.

At lower level of Life Staff maybe solo and stick with low level stuff so you can kill without dying all the time.

It is worth the effort. :)
or just grind for level 60 and then kill level 10 mobs with the staff. With level 60 the level gap penalization no longer exists, so one shoting level 10+ mobs gives you 30+ weapon exp

Why do you guys have so many problems with the lifestaff?

How can you even die using it?

I know. I already level up almost all weapons to level 20, I'm just missing Spear (18) and Life Staff (7). Spear is easy to level up because I do a good amount of damage, enough to carry me around and level the weapon up, but my Life Staff is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥, mostly because I'm not using Focus, but it takes too much time to kill an enemy, compared with Spear.

Why not kill two birds with one stone? Since you want to level both, just hit each enemy with light staff once, and then switch to spear to finish them off. You split the xp between the two weapons (not sure if it's an exact xp split),but you will be leveling them both and do not have to worry about speccing into focus for damage.

It's horrible to do that because it goes 45% XP and 45% XP instead of 50% XP each.
During beta, dealing 15% or 20% damage to an enemy and switching weapons to kill, the killing weapon would get 100% XP and the damaging weapon would get 50% XP, AGS then fixed that by giving you 45% XP for each weapon when you kill the thing. It's better to use only one weapon for now.

You can just shoot undead critters with it and also heal yourself. I just started using it.

to get exp you need to hit the enemy with it so hit with Life staff and continue the kill with another weapon you get exp for both weapons

I see what you mean, but wouldn't 45% each be much faster in the long run compared to trying to kill something with a life staff alone with no focus? You should be able to kill at least 3 or 4 mobs with the swapping method before you can kill one mob with a life staff with no focus.

It's because Spear is almost there, and the only thing left is the Life Staff. I could deal one hit and then change, but it would take something more than twice. I don't know what happens if I kill with a Level 20 tho, maybe Life Staff takes all the XP.

I mean, if you already have the other weapons on 20 and apparently there will be a new focus weapon soon, wouldnt it be a good idea to respec to focus now? I assume you want to level up the void gauntlet too.

Life staff is fine for leveling solo. The damage difference is not much of an issue at low levels and by the time the lack of damage becomes noticeable, you will be glad you have the staff. Just pick something with aoe for second weapon, like a great axe.

Only issue for me was the insane amount of aggro I would get, pulling enemies from all over the place, enemies nobody had aggroed, or enemies going after other players.
