Unable To Connect To Server

I just got the game and was able to create my character, but it won't connect to the game. I get an error message, "Unable to connect to the server. Please check your internet access and try again." I'm trying to connect to the US West servers. I don't have trouble with any of my other steam games.

Steps Taken:

1. I've verified the game files
2. I've started Steam as admin
3. I've updated my Nvidia Drivers
4. I've restarted the computer
5. I've gone back and forth between regions
6. I don't have any other programs running

Other Things I tried:
7. Did a DNS Flush through CMD

I FOUND SOMETHING THAT WORKED:
8. I downloaded a free VPN (I used Proton) then connected to the game and was able to connect. Hope this helps anyone else.

Try this:
Disable Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6)

On windows type and search: Control Panel
Click on Network and Internet / View Status and Tasks / Ethernet / Properties
Once on Properties click and disable IPv6 protocol

I have the same problem for around 1 year. Everything is working fine at my home but when I visit my girlfriend and try to connect then I can't connect. Sometimes it works after 30 tries. Today I decided to analyse this issue. I tried this solution with disabling Internet Protocol version 6 but it didn't work. I checked also this Proton solution and surprisingly it started to work right away on first try. I read something about ports that some of them needs to be manually opened. This is incredibly weird that default network/router settings block connection to NW while everything else is working perfectly fine. It looks to me like an issue on NW side. I don't use normally VPN but this is incredibly stupid that I need a VPN in order to play New World.

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!
After days of reinstalling, verifying the files, and googling every possible problem, I just disabled IPv6 on my network adapter. works perfect.

in windows search "network connections", open the properties of the one that's connected, scroll down and uncheck IPv6.
