the DLC is probably suggested to have at game start fresh server, righT?
No. The fact that they decided to milk money up front says something.
The numbers are plateuing right now into EU peak. 53k.
Remember again that they already have milions of owners on Steam. It should show F2P numbers.
This shows that Amazon has a long way to go in earning back the good faith of PC audience.
"We are not certain about our ability to hook players in enough to sell enough season passes."
I'm pretty clear and it's a really simple concept. I don't understand how it's not understandable. Long-term earnings with larger crowd vs. short-term earnings with smaller crowd. The former is how F2P games make lots of money. Destiny 2 is the prime example.
With potential additional playerbase of 3+ million. They could make more money by having a portion of them spend $20 or so on season pass multiple times. Over a year, they would theoretically spend up to $80. Season passes rely in masses of people sticking around.
Considering the current player count (again, I mention 55k concurrent EU peak), shows that locking endgame behind $30 didn't draw a significant portion of the millions of owners, thus deminishing their ability to hook enough people to have them spend on season passes.
Definitely not in the business of making successful games.
These companies don't care about a finished, refined product that gives the best entertainment experience. They had you hook, line, and sinker years ago.
dealing with pesky armies or world bosses? go ahead and summon a god to smite them not unlike thor from kung fury.
