Put DLC on SALE!!
Thats it, would be a good move on players who havent the DLC put it today on sale to let them come back with the full update instead let them apart from the game.

Do this and you will see a return from a lot of players.

exactly. Other MMO's put DLC on sale, esp if it's over a year old it's usually next to nothing to get people back in. Terrible choice to not do so.

I would also consider a purchase if a small discount were given.

the DLC is probably suggested to have at game start fresh server, righT?

Yea I have the base game from launch but never bought the DLC. Would be good for them to discount it so we can jump back in with the new version.
just dont buy this ♥♥♥♥

Once the honeymoon phase is over, they'll put the DLC on sale to retain whatever players they can. Give it a month, if that...

That would go against their plan of milking more money out of old players. Having hit "A Face in the Mist" and getting progress blocked by the huge number of players trying to get into a quest area one at a time made me exit the game. AGS hasn't changed so NW hasn't changed. I think I'm already done but at least they got my $30.
This. There are millions of New World owners already. They could bring them all back by giving all the content for free and hook them on season pass. Out of 3 million owners, if they can manage to hook just 10% of them into getting hooked again and have them buy season passes for multiple seasons, they would make more money.

No. The fact that they decided to milk money up front says something.

The numbers are plateuing right now into EU peak. 53k.

Remember again that they already have milions of owners on Steam. It should show F2P numbers.

This shows that Amazon has a long way to go in earning back the good faith of PC audience.

what does it say? that they're in the business of making money and not handing out freebies? lol jeeze, who would have seen that coming....

Yeah, I want to come back, but there's no way I pay full price for this DLC after a year+ of waiting on a discount. Absolutely no way.

"We are not certain about our ability to hook players in enough to sell enough season passes."

I'm pretty clear and it's a really simple concept. I don't understand how it's not understandable. Long-term earnings with larger crowd vs. short-term earnings with smaller crowd. The former is how F2P games make lots of money. Destiny 2 is the prime example.

With potential additional playerbase of 3+ million. They could make more money by having a portion of them spend $20 or so on season pass multiple times. Over a year, they would theoretically spend up to $80. Season passes rely in masses of people sticking around.

Considering the current player count (again, I mention 55k concurrent EU peak), shows that locking endgame behind $30 didn't draw a significant portion of the millions of owners, thus deminishing their ability to hook enough people to have them spend on season passes.

Definitely not in the business of making successful games.

why bother ? All of the geniuses, like yourself, who trashed the hell out of this game and abandoned it, swearing to never return, are all back, lined up pathetically with your cash in hand, ready to lay it down and confirm to game developers everywhere that you are a bunch of weak-brained simps who will support any garbage. All that needs to be done is make you feel like you are missing out on something, sponsor a few twitch streamers...and voila ! Instant puppets.
These companies don't care about a finished, refined product that gives the best entertainment experience. They had you hook, line, and sinker years ago.

Just buy the DLC, it's 100% worth it.
CarsonTheOneAndOnly Oct 15, 2024 @ 12:43pm
conan exiles $50 bucks canadian, online, mod support, command support allies, ride various mounts all capable of combat, build your own houses forts and castles, wage war and destroy buildings with explosives and siege weaponry. more weapons magic spells and if you like guns, there is that too in the form of mods. collect materials learn technologies and explore a wide open world where you can swim, climb and play the way you want with different player builds. I've spent far less and enjoyed far more making bases for people to play multiplayer on. if you can think it you can build it. there is still a lot of servers where people play. heck, anyone could outpost rush and capture forts in that game and it would be identical in many ways and better in others. wanna summon a creature? go capture one. need another guard? train one. want that guard to be your waifu? yeah... thats in their too...
dealing with pesky armies or world bosses? go ahead and summon a god to smite them not unlike thor from kung fury.
