Delusions of grandeur. AGS thinks a few changes make a new game and have decided to price it as such.
Inflation is here to stay for a long time to come and we are all paying for it. The days of getting a free ride are over. The prices are intended so that people can't just buy games for next to nothing in certain regions and sell keys for profit to western consumers. Unfortunately you can blame the bad apples who took advantage and abused regional pricing.
I'm not even going to waste my time reading your comment, no game doubled in price from 2021 to 2024, in fact the price of releases remained the same, so don't be the weirdo who defends billion-dollar companies that don't give a damn about you...
By the way, game keys on Steam purchased in LATAM can only be activated in the same region, so your argument remains invalid...
So all those people buying cheap keys are in those same regions. Which is why there are so many key selling sites am rite? I can buy Hogwarts for $15 and you believe someone paid $60 for a Steam key they now want to sell at deep discount? You are obviously clueless and since the internet is international there are plenty of jobs you can do online for US wages from anywhere in the world. If you are bilingual you can go on Fiver and offer services like translation for example. In less than an eight hour day of work you would be able to earn more enough to buy this game. Most people earn enough to buy NW in an hour or two of work so I don't see the issue. Developers work for 5+ year's on a game that cost less than a day of working to buy and gamers act like they are entitled to play it for free.
It was $40 at original release. Then it was $40 + $30 for the first DLC offering for a total of $70 way back when. So technically the game is now perma discounted by $10 from release price.
The usual from game publishers.
Well, in other regions & currencies (like USD / EUR) the new price for New World Aeternum is still cheaper than other games or at least the same price. I guess they just forgot to add regional price tags in some regions.
But most people complaining about the new price forgot that the Angry Earth DLC is included now, thats why I wrote my first answer here.
No, they had regional pricing but a few weeks after the DLC was released they removed it and doubled the price of the game, they didn't forget, they just decided to remove it for no reason
