My characters face changed. What happen?

I just logged into the game and my character's facial features are completely different.

Do you know if it is a graphic option that they have implemented? Or is it that the release of the game on consoles makes my character have to look like an orc :D

Yeah this happened to me too. No idea why. I was planning to reroll any how but it is a very bad start.

Its just a new content, the look, or rather the emotion of your characters adapts to your game style. As an example, if you have done your 3 dungeons and they are on cool down then the character becomes a bit salty and the emotions adapt.

All faces went to WOW textures, I noticed this to in the beta. O'malley looked cartoonish compared to before.

My character's face looked like they had an rather bad allergic reaction. My character was a tank back in the day though so maybe their face is all swelled up from getting hit so much.

Use DX11 if you want the original look and feel. DX12 is the version used for consoles and changing the entire visual presentation.

Where can you change to DX11? Haven't played the game in a while and I can't find it in settings.

And yes, my characters look horrible now, even with maxed textures. :(

DX11 here where not talking about DX11 or 12. They simply removed textures to get better performance.

Started playing the game again a few days ago and just now logged in with one of my old characters that isn't wearing a face covering helm. Imagine my surprise when I saw how the face changed after logging in...
Btw, the new face looks exactly like on the screenshots here, even though the original face was a different one then Lunnae's old one. So it seems old characters simply get the same face slapped on. Typical AGS with effing up stuff like this.

The constant closing of the game without error messages, the less frequent closing of the game with Steam sync errors and latest, getting kicked to character selection with "suspicious software or corruption of files was detected" even though I played for hours without changing any background tasks and file checkup not finding any problems, are also getting annoying,

Not being able to transmog without throwing another 20 Euros down their throat for 10 skin unlock also pisses me off. The game is 3 years old, they still charge 60 Euros (it was 40 Euros in 2021, when it released) but the cash shop feels like that of a f2p game. So what's the difference between b2p and f2p games, if the only difference I see is that they charge you like a full price game, while others don't. Quality can't be the reason.
Also I don't know any f2p games with mounts that make you spend RL money to be able to ride... For all the BS players went through over the years, this should be a standard feature without having to spend another 29 Euros.

Btw, they still didn't add back the awesome weather effects from the beta, with rain storms and so happening sporadically, adding lots to the atmosphere.

Also the game is messing with being able to open browsers. As long as the game is running, Vivaldi has problems opening.
