Game looks awful. What happened to graphics?

I tried both DX12 and DX11. Bandwidth is high, and Dynamic Resolution is turned off, but the game still looks bad.

huh, it does look downgraded. Not strictly bad, but downgraded for sure.

No its bad, very. Even dx 12 at 4k looks like a mobile game...very unfortunate decision on the devs end -(

Yep, it looks worse. No AA and everything is slightly blurry.
Performance is better but the game just looks pixelated and blurry now.

I just opened the game myself and did the intro area - it's definitely downgraded.

Now, do i think it looks terrible / awful? No, not really - and if i had never played the game prior, i probably wouldn't even mind. But yeah, it's fuzzy / blurry, and some graphics look terrible. Like the fire on the end of the fire staff looks like a crappy .gif someone made in 2006.

Still a pretty game, but its downgraded / worse, for sure. I'm sure this has to do with console parity, which is too bad. Its quite unappealing compared to say, throne and liberty - or even wow with its stylized cartoony graphics is more enjoyable on the eyes.

Time to upgrade your systems if you think this is the standard. Also - wide screen has been completely removed. So, like me, we have been completely downgraded.

Man installed the game yesterday (after played until level 40 at games first Launch)
What have they done?

Again :
- no Hud scaling?
- dialogs looking way worse than before, now it just looks like they just add text over paint...
- game looks kind of blurry, even on 4k max settings
- cant disable nameplates and damage numbers???
- dx11 and dx12 tested : dx12 runs better but has many crashes

A screen grab of current graphics in spawn just shows some of the low detail resolutions on flint and the ground, while also showing off crazy jaggys.

There is a decrease in lighting and texture quality. Also, anti-aliasing does not work properly.

Animations (in quest dialog / cutscenes) look terrible. Probably no motion capture.
The world looks fine though.

The biggest difference I see between old screenshots and new ones is there doesn't seem to be as much volumetric lighting.

Look at the hud. Your health is literally blurry. The foliage is blurry. The cuffs on your arms full of aliasing. The lighting is a bit off and everything has a haze to it.

Just fyi, im one of the biggest graphics modders globally and have tested for Zenimax. It looks horrible.

i also tried to force AA and all i could through nvidia control panel..i did had hopes it would change something, it did not -(
