Big Update, No Sale

The developers released a big update to revive the game and attract more players, but they didn't offer any discounts. That's the summary of the developers of this game and that's why this game is doomed to die.

If they had offered a discount, they could have attracted more players and the game would have lasted longer.

Right now, they've mostly attracted some of the old players, and most of them will have left in 3 months.

Also new players (me hi) can’t buy the base game alone anymore to try it out before deciding to spend more on dlc

It's not bad if you go into it like a single player game, once you get to the end it becomes stale quick as the content dries up and the devs are very slow at adding new content compared to other more popular MMOs.

There is also 37,678 online on Steam and growing and it's still early AM in NA....

This happens every update, I think people aren't aware it's just the same game and that this was just an update and not an expansion. This happened the last time the expansion came out and quickly died down a few weeks later.

I actually agree with op. Was looking forward to give this game a chance, but not a 60 bucks one considering how many time they disappointed the community.

its never released on console, take that into account as well. Also since this isn't a paid expansion update on PC, it's still sitting at #9 top sellers charts, so people are buying it even without it being a paid expansion. (outside of owning it from the angry earth DLC release)

Is it not heavy on pvp? What game would you say is similar in terms of the solo experience?

It was supposed to be but open world PVP was always barren and nobody ever did it, OPR got old because it was literally the same map for three years. I played with friends and we had a full team when I played when the game first came out but it's almost impossible with the dwindling numbers to even find anybody so mainly you just ran around solo. I just have a feeling it'll be more of the same once people realize this is just another update and they fooled people by changing the name making them think it's a new expansion.

I get that but unless they pump out new content it'll never stick around, three years and almost nothing new other than a raid and a new "PVP" zone that most people most likely won't even do.

the dlc is a scam, i never bought it just for a mount and 1 dungeon, they splitted the community and now catching peasants again becaus they pay big streamers to generate a fake hype

Normally discounts come a few weeks after release of any major dlc. Are you new here, or?

I played back at launch came back many times, got about 500 hours total.
Im not sure i want to splash out almost €30 for expansion, its a bit ♥♥♥♥ old school players who jumped in at launch dont get some sort of reduction.

Guess you didn't realize that the game was dead and they needed to do something not "normal" to revive it. We are not talking about TESO, GW2 or WoW pal.

Many people find this pricing expensive and do not start the game. The discount comes a few weeks later will be too late. Amazon blew another opportunity to revive the game and I think this was the last one.
