Character face is wrong

I just looged int o my old characters and both their faces are now wrong!
Anyone else has this issue?
is there a fix?

After talking with Customer Service a few times, they said this:
I would like to inform you that the team is aware of this issue and they are currently working on it. I cannot provide a specific timeframe for the resolution at the moment but please keep an eye out for further updates.

Yeah they completely butchered the old faces. If you create a new character, then you get to choose from the "new" faces (though don't expect much, 99% of them are still super ugly). For some reason the "old" faces didn't stay the same, nor did they just get changed to "new" faces...

On my old male character I had one of the asian faces, funnily the new character creator doesn't have a single asian face at all. My old character looks kinda like a pig now, the eyes are super tiny and the whole face is just wonky.

Idk why the hell they couldn't leave the faces as is, or at least give some free character appearance change or whatever. No way am I going to play that guy now.

Same. This update is a downgrade in many areas for veteran and pc players.

I'm a little afraid to login for this reason and because I'm scared that my furnished big houses will be empty. I'm still downloading atm but I'd actually like to play my old chars in the long term. I don't like the idea that all that grind was in vain.

Has there been any news concerning character customization after creation? Wasn't there at one point talk of a barber shop or something?

for female face, top row, 3rd face... is the best option now.

i doubt they will do anything to improve character edit after creation.

they are literally charging real money to transmog the gear you have found for free. that's really rude.

I recently reinstalled the game to try it again, the UI is way too different and odd looking and my character looked like an ugly pig person. I was pretty disappointed the game felt completely different, and just uninstalled :(

I'm still not sure if I should just delete one character who now looks completely different. I never played her that much but she has a couple of artifact weapons and seasonal items for her house which I grinded for.
Why can't we just buy new character slots, then I wouldn't have to make this decision. I'm not playing with a character I don't like. Customization is a major thing in MMOs for me. I'm sitting here not knowing what to do when I should be playing and having fun. :(

Can try and submit feedback on Discord (as that's the only official place of communications with AGS). But in my experience they just ignore everything. So many people have been begging for UI fixes all the way since beta and nothing.

so each region has 4 character slots. i'm pretty sure that 4th slot is pretty new.

How could they have possibly butchered old faces? they were the most messed up faces i have ever seen in a character editor to begin with.

Just came back to my character looking completely different, and not great, too...so according to Customer Service, we just wait?

Same thing here lol! Took a year break, came back to the game in hopes I’d get reconnected just to find out that my character now has a toad face. The face totally changed after I logged in. Closed the game uninstalled it, installed it back created a new character now looking back at all the stuff I had in the character that got hijacked is just making me mad.

Everything about the Character creation is wrong.

It is basically a Frankenstein sim.
