Hide names

I like the game very much, but what bothers me a lot is that you can't hide the wise player names anymore, how do you see that?

I am also actively looking to reduce significantly or completely hide player nameplates. I found an article online from 2 years ago explaining how to, but this option seems to have been remove from the settings. I played alot of mmorpg over the years and I always hide player's names. To me, this option should absolutely be mandatory.

Yeah, I really miss having the option to hide name plates as well as damage numbers. It would be good to be able to hide name plates at the very least.

Agreed. Currently nameplates tend to take up much more space on the screen than the actual character model - if by chance you can spot that through the mess of all the other nameplates. I never understood having a max counter instead of much more granular controls, but intentionally having NO control is just beyond me, I'd love to see the meeting notes where this was decided.

Nameplates are a bane to multiplayer gaming, like chat bubbles. If they are added, there needs to be an option to turn them off.

Yep wish I could turn off all the silly little poop like names cluttering up my screen. So sick of seeing characters running around with 'sicballz' and 'poopinurface' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Edit: Interesting that Steam can't recognize those silly names for what they are but will sensor 'bullcrap'

There has to be a way. Because I'm doing it. I only see the names of people I actively target or at least look into their general direction. But I'm not sure what I did to get this.

There was an option for chat bubbles somewhere as well. But I'm not sure anymore if I remember it from Aeternum or from the old version... stuff is really all over the place in this game.

Do the devs even read the STEAM forums? If not, we need to either use the feedback function in-game or someone with access to the NW Discord has to give feedback there.

They used to have an option where you could drop it to one but that seems to have been removed. I really do not want to see ANY names TBH. Even one name was annoying. They are probably tired of me and my feedback but I'm mentioning this for sure. Such a dumb move removing the option.

So many names in towns that I never bother reading, and never will. The clutter is bloody annoying. I'm uninterested in the names of Internet Randoms anyway.

Perhaps for the same reason why you can't chose to not have details reduced in crowded areas anymore. Terrible things would happen.
