How is this as a fully solo experience now?

Let's say I'm after something like this to play solo (don't mind grouping but let's keep it as a fully solo player for sake of question) how is it? is this new patch I've heard about changing anything?

story is new they say, mid game will be the same and endgame have some more stuff to do.

I have over 1200 hrs and most of that was solo apart from when it first came out and you had to group to do main story. End game is group orientated but tomorrow sees some solo end content. Go for it and have fun (before any one slags me off, I am 74 next week so do not have fast reflexes any more and got tired of being kicked off groups )

Been a while since I played last but the ability to solo was very much there. Dungeons are still a thing but if you want to play solo the dungeon quest would give you a solo option that would just continue the quest.

I mean, what did you expect of the guy? You come in and ask for how the game is solo and it's alright, but we don't know what kind of stuff you enjoy and how competent you are at keeping yourself busy. Some people you can sit solo onto this game and they will be busy for months, others will start complaining nonstop after a week how they had nothing to do.

LOL. I am 70 I feel ya. I type slow and dont what anything to do with twitch or discord. I cant understand half what is said anyway. Reflexes are still good but my 12 year old grand kid puts me to shame.

Give the new update and the new “so-called” New World a chance. I loved playing the game so much and I think I restarted it 3 times. Now it will be a fourth time with the new story and quests you can do. The battle system has also been improved and more! So I'll see you tomorrow :-)

I always had my best in Slot Gear as a solo player, I always liked the game.

The only thing that isn't so good for solo players is that the PvP is more guild related (there is an arena and also good open world PVP but you won't have it easy)...

Dungeons just like in every game, finding a group etc... I've never run PVE dungeons.

Maybe a solo dungeon will come with the patch ;)

Old duffers club member too. December - 78. Back in the day I was a damned fine heals but, well time marches on. Solo I embarrass only myself or get a good laugh or two. Kids now a days think they are the only ones who play games. If they only knew that growed ups paved the way for them and some day their fast twitch muscles will leave the building, just like Elvis. Party on. Will be nice to not depend on others for dungeons. Hopefully they'll be like Maelstroms Arena in ESO. Fun times.

It s not hard to solo 1200 hrs resourcing and running around popping chests. The game is not solo friendly after MSQ.
And anything good is pretty well locked behind 5-10 Player runs.

I thought there would be solo dungeons like ESO, but nope, there are little soul widgets but there are no solo dungeons in this game. It will keep you busy for a while but if you want a better experience of running solo but having others around then go play one of the legacy MMOs that have years if not decades of content. And hot tip, there really isn't much of any end game. I guess end game is events and leveling crafts and weapons after you finish the MSQ which levels you too fast to make any of your personal crafting worth while.

Game just lacks balance on so many fronts.
