725 gear is locked behind group activities, you need golden coconuts from chests on free for all pvp flagged island and you will get teamed by people who are grouped up on discord or you need to do high level expeditions which do not go well with pubbies.

Just another game where friends and grouping gives you 100 times advantage over other players.

Not entirely wrong, actually. Have been in that situation and you basically need a functioning, good pve dungeon group to get end game gear (or crafting mats) and see the raid.

Even for artifacts, i am running into siutations where i wish i could have difficult solo trials instead of long dungeons. Those artifacts are locked for me as a solo player.

However the coconut thing is doable. It is one cursed hoard chest per week and you are done, plus the key for locked chests, which sit infront of the pvp zone (no pvp needed).

Other than that, chest runs, daily coin quests and 35 coin gambling chest for anything above 700 gs. The expensive chests demanding a coconut and will still come down to luck for what you want vs. what rolls.

It's an mmo, what do you expect? All online games have the best gear locked behind group activities. If you want to play solo, go play a solo game.

I played the original game, I had no issue getting top gear by just grinding a lot. this iteration is worse for solo.

You mean the crafted gear? People thought that was the top gear. The game just lacked end game and it still lacks end game. I was full void gear and to be honest that was more like luck gear you made so u can go get proper gear from bosses.

If you want to play solo, then you don't need gear anyway. You don't need it to fight anyone cause pvp is no solo. You don't need it for bosses.

Just an average solo player with time. Played a lot on release finished up all MSQ and almost all side quests (I like story stuff), did all the racing got lion/riding 200+. Gathering skills all 205+, have all the mats to get most skills to 150+ easily, 3 houses, 15 minor trophys (have a few of the upgrades for some of them, need to grind for others)

Have almost 700 gs was looking at what to upgrade/artifacts then lost interest after getting wasted a few time going for coconut by 2+ players and I am not really into raids. OPR and 3v3 infested by overgeared old server players. Kind of lost interest at this point, I had over 500 hours on original release before duping and quit after re -elease servers to combat the duping.

Guess I got my moneys worth on DLC though. As a solo player it feels like more work needed than is fair for a solo player to keep up this time around.

Yes I have doubloons from quests and free chest with key just outside pvp zone, and yes if i keep at it i can sneak in and get a coconut but I really dont like the way they set this up for 700-725. Solo players have more work this time around from everything i see and grouped players have it much easier.

If you want to play solo, then you don't need gear anyway. You don't need it to fight anyone cause pvp is no solo. You don't need it for bosses.

Because decent 725 gear makes it possible to survive elite zones better.

no need for gearscore 725 if only soloplaying all soul trials possible with just gear score 700 only a few mechanics cant be ignored only problem is not getting duplicate skins and some are not available for transmog yet

In the original release I could go to all the elite chest areas alone and farm chests for gear and pick off the random elites and wait for a chest run group or boss group to come by to get bosses. I was able to farm alone for the most part, now I need 725 gear to do the same thing, the 700 gear doesnt really cut it. I admit i am not using t5 damage resists gems in all my gear yet but I cant see that it will make the difference.

You're a peasant — ignoring the very definition of "MMORPG" for attention.

Entire "solo gameplay" has been fantastic, all my friends blew me away and I queued for 4 to 8m queues while leveling and just random people here and there and have about 12 people on my buddy list. Go make a friend loser. Don't be afraid to open your buddy list and send someone a whisper.

p.s. - grind faction tokens for 725 gs
