New World Aeturnum - removing Male NPCs, feminizing the game?

I took a note of the gender of each questgiver I came across today, I interacted with 21 quest NPCs - 15 of them were female, 6 of them were male. I SWEAR this was not the case in the base game (before Aeturnum released). On top of this, WHY do all of the male voice actors in this game sound like soyboys/femboys? Every single male NPC besides Captain Thorpe has the most high pitched whiny VA ive ever seen. I'm' fairly sure this was also a change made in Aeturnum. Do the people at amazon not quality check anything?

It's just a baffling design choice... quite literally the first NPC that gives you a quest is a prime example of this - are they trying to speedrun killing the game twice? Not too sure how anyone on the design team saw this and went "Looks and sounds amazing! I'm sure everyone will love this!"

It's definitely noticeable and annoying, but there's unfortunately very little we can do. The devs apparently hate male characters and I strongly doubt it will change any time soon.

I really miss the days of release when we had far greater diversity than we have now.

I did to be somewhat scientific about it. I didn't want to make any sort of claim without any truth behind the statement.

I'm baffled by this. I don't pay attention to whether the store clerk waiting on me is male or female. To put any energy into tracking it in a video game seems next level even for a Tater tot.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you also throw around "woke" and "DEI" a lot.
