Yeah, aimlock supposedly made ranged classes easymode.
If people are complaining about all builds, doesn't that mean there is some semblance of balance?
aimlock on bow is trash. even if you're hitting you aren't headshotting, -16% nerf in pvp, and doing garbage ass damage to medium armor anyways. I'm 450 dex with a 725 bow and you aren't doing ♥♥♥♥ for damage rofl.
Wrong, you wouldn't know anyway.
Bow has always been either the best or one of the top weapons in the game since its release. despite the -16% damage reduction in pvp it still benefits positively from the previous 20% buff they gave to all ranged weapons. No matter what you look at it brings very solid aoe and single target for a RANGE weapon with the only thing they lack is a disease effect. obviously a melee weapon should have the damage advantage in melee range otherwise melee would be pretty worthless. The big advantage is that you can attack them in ranges where they can't touch you and if you don't use that advantage to its fullest then they should be able to beat you.
The only bad thing about bow is its higher skill floor since you need to actually aim your shots (and no the auto aim is will not fix your aim since it will basically miss anything that isn't running in a straight line directly at you) But if you can hit your shots consistently its still a top tier weapon
Plus you have two weapons just use one of the many dexterity scaling melee weapons as a secondary and your biggest weakness is pretty much instantly solved
The problem isn't locking on by one enemy, its at mid range when several lock on and just fire.
If you get hit by 4 guys, chest or head doesn't matter, you just die.
And yes it has happened to me.
Edit: To the OP. Bow isn't useless. That is just ...wrong.
