If servers are empty, how are they still "losing players" each week? I mean, considering they'd have to have bought the game in the first place, I can't see why the latest pricing would cause existing players to leave.
The players who are still on the SA server are the ones who bought the game when it was originally released, when the prices were in line with what was offered in the game. But now, Amazon thinks it has a super product on its hands and can charge whatever it wants. Trust me, I don't give this game 2 months to be dead again. Or do you think that ~45k players for an MMORPG is a good number?
If you look at steamDB, countries like mine (NZ), Australia, Canada, USA, UK etc all pay top dollar, all others pay a lot less. I still agree though that this update should be free and it's the reason 90% of the playerbase dipped. Noone to play with and just a general sad look on the way gaming is today. Amazon should do better.
On the flipside, R$ 300 is likely too much, it's something like 8 WoW subscriptions in Brazil (which I believe are R$ 40/month), which is likely not worth it.
The initial storyline has nice cutscenes now but was that a good use of their $$? There is too much experience given for everything so most never actually bond with the game. It's not a real MMO, it's not survival, the PvP is sad and companies cherry pick only the best for participation, the towns are incredibly poorly laid out - need I go on?
Add to all of the above, one single dlc in over three years, really? It has little to do with pricing, having to pay whatever. It is a shame some need to pay so much but frankly if I hadn't bought the game years ago I wouldn't consider it a very good use of my money. Better than a movie, but that's about it. If you plan to spend a few hundred hours in NW then price isn't the issue. Folks who think they should get something for nothing is a real issue. Trust me, getting something for free wont make you any happier than you are now.
By January it will be back to a very quiet place to play. Then AGS/Amazon will probably have to figure out what to do next in lieu of actually adding content and competing with the other MMOs who have a 15-20 year head start in a gaming community that is a bit stale. They promised a roadmap but so far, nada. That should give one pause.
They should lower it, to fill all servers, and then get their main recipes on cosmetics and other non p2w amenities.
I think ti's overall industry inflation. Look at even low-popularity games like Suicide Squad, Forspoken, and Redfall.
Yesterday I thought to myself that the biggest problem with the game is that everything is available much too quickly and too cheaply...
You come out of the campaign alone with enough money to afford 700 gear, gems cost next to nothing... I only farmed for 2 days and will soon be best in slot...
and then I read such a topic here????
ridiculous.
edit: I probably stopped reading his rubbish too soon ^^
he really means the price from the game ???? .. sorry, I didn't expect that... there are actually people who complain that developers want to be paid for their work.
even more ridiculous
