New World Aeternum Review : 9.2/10

Alright, here is my 2 week review of the new expansion and relaunch of New World: Aeternum.

Graphics : Still solid albeit slightly worse to accomodate consoles. However, smoother framerate and less grind on the Gpu is welcome. My GPU used to sing for days during my time in New World. Not anymore. GX12 edges are a bit jank but try that mode its alot better ive found. With that said, still top notch and leads the industry for this genre.

Sound : Still top notch and leading industry for genre. New Zone music is superb. Voip in MMOs adds another level of immersion and New World is #1 as of now.

Gameplay : Still crisp combat. Addition of Runes and new weapons is nice as it changes meta. Artifact items are a nice surprise addition and make hunting for loot that much better.
New World finally found the sweet spot for dungeons and dungeon difficulty with 3 levels of mutated. I found the dungeons to be VERY challenging. My first Mut 2 took me 80 min to complete and my group died 50x without comms. Comms help.

Endgame : Now a plethora of endgame features. If hardcore WpVp domination is your spice, this game still leads. They have now made the successful conversion to Solo and PvE friendly. I cant tell you how much better this game is with the addition of MOUNTS. btw, Mounts do not hurt Wpvp combat whatsoever, In fact they have aided it. Dungeons, Mutaded Dungeons, Raids, Arena, opr(battleground) make for a wonderful amount of endgame. The game also now has a raid/dungeon/group finder for what seems to be all modes so wonderful QoL.

Lastly, i want to say the new zone has what looks like 20 unique new mobs to fight all with unique combat styles, sound and graphics. This is Next level. Storytelling has also improved with the addition of slightly more memorable characters(Taurus). The combat tuning from what i could see after 50 matches of 3v3 is at an all time High. New World has successfully found the perfect blend for the pvp meta. Spot on. The Addition of Mounts for immersion and mobility once more cant be overstated.

Personally, i would like to see a 2025 roadmap for content and the acknowledgement of more arena/opr maps. Currently the new Arena map is the only one in rotation. Its great but keep adding more diversity of maps to complement meta. Otherwise, Looking forward to finally completing the Raid. Its hard but tuned well and more content. Great Job guys!

Well, it lands in the X=Forget what reality is, because of gfx/sound/ambiance etc. Which is incredible for an MMO

Yes, it is an MMO. It is what it is whether tagged that way or not, Kinda like real life, things are what they are, not what you are told they are.

How much did Amazon payed to you for this? There is no Ultrawide Monitor support or movable HUD! Twenty year old games have it. And the graphics arent next level. Maybe on consoles, but not on PC. No DLSS, nothing. This is a console game running on PC in a hidden emulator. So it is a 0.0/10

Look at the HUD on 3440 x 1440 on 21:9. To big, everything in the middle and not movable. The chat for example is not at the left edge. The Quests are not at the right edge and so on.
