MSQ = WAAAAAAYYYY too much XP
I'd get in before the (definitely) incoming MASSIVE nerf to the XP gains..

as it sits right now, Im 64, and I have been 10+ Levels OVER the "Recommended Level" of the zones long before I ever set foot in them. I entered Brimstone Sands at level 64.. Thats the closest Ive gotten to the zone min of an area.

I havent done a single sidequest. Not one. (Except the Faction Quest.) Ive put almost zero effort into the game. My gear is still the level 25 faction gear.. hasnt made a lick of difference.

Its WAY WAY too easy. IM using a Flail and Shield in Tank mode and Im dropping everything with zero effort. Unless there are more than like 8 mobs @ my level.. I dont even lose 20% of my HP.

My wife and my sons are steamrolling every piece of content.. and we can already see the wall of boredom crashing down.

They desperately need to either up the difficulty of the current content or seriously lower the XP gains of the MSQ to force players to do additional content. As it stands now... this is just a slog of easybake boredom

Yep. Its why I left WoW, and I refuse to touch ESO or any of Bethesda's "Everything is YOUR level" Garbage. There's ZERO challenge and they're just a total bore.

Skyrim was so pretardo that you can literally clear 100% of the game at level 1 with zero actual challenge.

It is the same in New World. I completed Brimstone sands and Angry Earth in 6 hours with a maxed out character and random gear.

Every Brimstone and Angry earth MSQ gives you 14 000 XP per mission (and there are like 40 missions) which I never needed because I was already max level before beating the base game MSQ.

If you are max level, the non-group stuff is easy solo and all zones become trivial. Only the later zones are difficult if you aggro 5 enemies at once.

That has nothing to do with the progression though, it's just the powercreep and the mobs not scaling well into higher levels (And the respective games themselves)^^ If the devs put a bit more thought into it, I'm sure this kind of progression can work.

wow, just wow...last I heard this was an Mmo, play how you want.
You want to speed level to 65 doing the MSQs, go ahead, who cares. You want to explore areas, just kill mobs, craft, maybe do a side quest or two, take your time leveling, go ahead. If you want to take your time doing a few of the MSQs and do other stuff in between, go ahead.
No one is FORCING anyone to get to max level in New World. MSQs are just the most efficient way to get there, if that's your thing. If not, dont even start them.

All of my deaths prior to level 65 were due to getting disconnected from the server in the middle of a fight. I was outleveling my quests by at least 10 levels through most of the MSQ. now enemies can be 10lvls above me so thats rough but the disconnects keep coming so i die alllllllllll the time now.

Try elite areas on your own for a challenge. Dungeons are pretty tough. The rest is easy, every weapon can aoe spam.

I just finished levelling every one of my weapons to 20. I really dislike the magic/ranged weapons but the melee weapons just mince everything.

For a guy named "Grimwit".. you sure seem to be lacking in the wit department.

Nobody is telling you to do or do not use the MSQ to level.

The TOPIC of the conversation Is that the MSQ gives TOO MUCH experience to the point its trivializing the ENTIRE Game. People are 10+ levels ahead of the zone they are in, and the game is presenting ZERO effort and ZERO challenge.

Now tell me pumpkin.. how long do you predict this game to last is EVERYONE is max level day 3?

How long? What.. a week.. tops .. before everyone gets bored and leaves? Just like last time.

Now what happens when everyone leaves (again) because everyone is bored (again) and there's no content (again.)

DO I REALLY need to quote the phrase "Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it." to you... Mr "Wit"?

Honestly I thought game was a cake walk until I got to ebonscale region... that was a huge difficulty spike, significantly tougher than even bloodborne and ringed city in DS3 lol

Grinding XP bars is not fun. That is also why Diablo 4 cut off 40 levels recently. Lots of people don't like levelling generally so it is great they made it quick.
diablo 4 is not an mmo
mmo are suppose to take a little bit longer to level lmao

Sure. :D

Elder Scrolls Online then. You can go from lvl1 to max level in a few hours when they have a double XP event (like they have now for a whole month). That is an MMO.

Games that gatekeep you content by filling up bars with mindless repetitive stuff are something of the past (at least if you want to make money). That is why they redid the levelling experience in New World as well.

Nothing says you have to do the main quest. If you rather pick flowers and cut tree for 20 hours first, that option is still possible.

still need higher territory standing for the bigger houses. this essentially allows you to grab a "starter house" for free in any zone you'd like

This isn't wow you absolutely toolbox.

You need slow exp to ensure efficacy/longevity of open world, crafting and gathering.

If you trivialise it, you end up with with raidlogging and nothing else.

Amazon BTFO their own game design by killing the pace of this game.
