Voice chat not working

Heya.

Been loving the game so far, went out and got a headset so i can join in the VOIP fun and also play with company members and such.

Headset works fine on my computer, can record everything okay. Works on steam settings etc.

When i try to go in VOIP in new world it just says VOIP cant connect. I go to audio settings and where it would i assume let you select microphone device, its just greyed out. No ideas how to fix, can anyone help?
