keep getting a plug symbol really annoying game run great is there way i can remove stupid plug symbol

I think that's an icon that indicates you have bad latency (lag). If you are using a VPN, turn it off. You might also disable anti-virus as long as you don't go visiting any shady websites while playing.

I just started getting that today (the 18th), too, and I can't make it go away. And my network is pretty fast...

I should not post this, because it's just a guess, but could be a warning from the game that your latency/ping is currently bad -- because the game servers being overloaded, or some server between your ISP and the game server is having problems. Try at different hours and see if persists.
If the problem is with servers between you and the game, then a gaming VPN can route your traffic to avoid these, but test before buying one (because you need one that works for between your location and game server), if you decide that you need one (there are traceroute tests and so on to see if that's the case, but even so these should be fixed in a few hours or days usually)

Also if I remember correctly, I always got that red icon IF I set in game options, that I don't want to chat/connect (or something similar, I don't remember the wording either) with consoles (I'm on PC). Just allow console & PC intereaction in options/game settings, whatever it is (if this is still the reason for that icon after ~3 years)

Edit: found it, it's in Settings > Social > Cross-Play [set to On], default is also on

I have it too everytime I start the game up in the morning. It goes away when I either keep playing and ignore it, or log into character select and re-enter. I also wasn't experiencing any lag at the time. I think it's just a false alarm and I remember the orignal version had that happen too.

When it's actual lag and connection problems the icon changes to something red that looks like sheets of papers to indicate packet loss.

I started getting the plug symbol yesterday, I have cured it now by port forwarding the game through my router as follows - hope this help's.

TCP Inbound/Outbound: 80, 443.
TCP: 18887-18903, 27015, 27036
UDP: 18887-18903, 27000-27050

I don’t think it’s a port forwarding issue? I have the game clients IP address set into a DMZ so everything is exposed to the outside.

I bypassed my router completely and can't get below 70ms. I used to get it as low as 30ms. So something doubled the latency in the last week. I'm guessing it has to do with the huge amount of data their servers are having to share due to the increased player count. Their hardware needs upgraded to handle the increased amount of player data. I'm sure pings will improve as the player count drops in the next month or two but it would be preferable if players stayed and AGS fixed the problem on their end.

i was fine on a low pop server. moved to a med pop and now i get the lag icon. really annoying how their servers can't handle more than a low load without laggin.

Not the reason. I'm not getting it on either low or medium worlds, and did not regularily get it on high pop during re-launch either. There is a correlation to your end receiving data packages (or not receiving them).

I have slow internet and get it all the time. Its a combo of slow internet and low server bandwidth. Amazon is cheep and will not pay to make the game stable. During peak hours, 3 pm - 9 pm PST, its much worse. Not just server population but internet traffic that AGS host.

P.S. They added icons instead of fixing the lag.

I am getting this problem about 1/3 of the time when I play. My hard-wired internet is fine; no problems with lag or latency on Rocket League, Call of Duty, or other multiplayer games.

At the very least we need some way to minimize or disable this notification. Having a plug icon on the screen is annoying as heck.

you can off that 3 symbols on setting > game > last belom > disable network stability icon
