im not interested in grouping up with ppl for story progression anyway to get passed that like i used to play through without being forced to go in a group to get further in story

The game is single player til endgame and that's only for getting to the new item cap cuz it comes from doing a raid. It's probably the most single player friendly MMO out there.

they removed dungeons from the MSQ so you never need to party idk what quest you're referring to but it sounds like a side quest.

I think he may be refering to the Amrine part of the MQ. The solo option for it isn't immediately obvious (or wasn't during beta and in the old version).

Just speak to Yonas again and he should offer an alternative solution that requires a bit of mob grinding.
